defence of Boris and the slander of Starmer is so awful it's almost laughable.
What a vile unprincipled person she is.
The state of that government ffs

Vile? Yes.
Unprincipled? Yes

But above all that, she's really, really stupid. Really stupid. Thicker than, as Blackadder would say, a whale sandwich.

I think they all try to outdo each other.

What is most worrying is that their supporters still walk amongst us. How can anyone support this lot, even if their economic views align?

It was her and a couple of others who RTd the far right video saying Starmer had helped get the Child Rape gangs in Rotherham etc off with a comment on a quote tweet saying something like 'explains a lot'.

It's Trump style politics, we don't have the constitution to deal with these liars in parliament because everything is based upon there being good people at the top of Government

Surely journalists need to be pin Boris to repeat this outside of parliament so Starmer can sue for libel.

Its win win here embarrassing climb down or expensive and humiliating court loss.

He repeated it yesterday to Harry Cole

The row over Johnson’s Jimmy Savile comments continues after he faced calls from his own side to withdraw the remark and criticism from Commons Speaker Lindsay Hoyle. Instead, Johnson doubled down on the claim speaking to the Sun’s Harry Cole on the flight back from Ukraine, insisting: “As far I’m aware, it’s fairly accurate.” BBC Reality Check ( https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/60213975) found there is “no evidence that Sir Keir was involved at any point in the decision not to charge Savile.”

It's a very carefully worded massive dead cat when repeated outside of the House. Outrageous and disgusting though it is, it seems to be working.

We’re always just a few years behind the worst bits of US ‘culture’

I remember walking past a school in Los Angeles in 1990 and seeing a sign warning that the carrying of knives on the school premises was strictly prohibited.

I remember thinking that would never happen in the UK.

It's tragic the Tories still cling to the idea they are the party of law and order. By every metric, since they took over after Gordon Brown, crime is rampant and prosecutions are plummeting, mostly because the resources of the police and courts have been cut.

Because they're hurting the 'right' people.

The main groups of people who suffered during the pandemic(for example) were women, the disabled and medically vulnerable, the poor and ethnic minorities.

The open bigotry and corruption are features , not bugs and the incompetence can be explained awayy by citing 'the pandemic', 'lefties' or 'the EU'.

Alarmingly, we were actually ahead of the curve of Trump by several months in 2016, given the manner in which 52% were able to be easily conned.

In politics, people go along with almost all lies and smears if it serves their interests and damages their opponents.

Boris isn’t doing anything he hasn’t already done before. But before when it was dishonesty around Brexit and proroguing parliament etc. he got enough support. Now it’s only a hardcore of people like Dorries who have nothing else to offer than blind, stupid loyalty.

But the double standards and faux outrage about integrity and the truth are more than a little nauseating from politicians and pundits alike. It’s their conditional support and selectively applied standards that elevated Johnson into power in the first place.

Of course, it’s ultimately nonsense and unfair. But you can argue however disingenuously that Starmer, as head of DPP, failed to prosecute Savile.

I’ve seen less fair accusations and characterisations stick. All depends if it’s in people’s interests to debunk them. And currently it is.

Harry Cole is of course Carrie Symonds ex who she is on very good terms with and is often a 'source' when Johnson is in trouble.

His own MPs effectively called him a liar yesterday on this, including ministers.

Quite.

Plenty of Starmer supporting outlets willing to portray Corbyn as an anti-Semitic, IRA sympathising member of the British version of Baader Meinhoff.

This was always going to be the Tories’ “trump card” with Starmer. Guess it shows how desparate they are. I can’t really see it working used in so nakedly cynical a way, but who knows.

Rebuked by the Speaker.

Called out by some members of his own party.

Tom Hunt remains resolutely on the fence though. He has my, further, email.

And the reason Trump stuff is happening here, is Bannon and his people are behind both 'leaders'.

Bannon's people are throughout the current Govt and influential non-Govt positions.
