Each to their own but I think comments about how good Cook was or wasn’t are best discussed when a game isn’t being played in which his successor is showing signs of struggle only 7 games in! Where’s Badger with his “the football is better” post?

Ha. Given your well stated love for Cook, who took 25 games to reach 5 wins, it is a bit odd to call this struggle when we're on for a 5th win in 7 as it stands. [Post edited 5 Feb 2022 16:37]

Norwood’s heat map on 15:53 - Feb 5 by StokieBlue | Any chance at all we can give our new smarmy manager more than half a dozen games before making sweeping judgements about our play? Maybe even a proper preseason or 3? That was a poor half but these things can take time, the need for instant gratification of opinions or to be first with some insight is tiresome. SB |
If I could upvote a post multiple times, this would be the one. Tiresome as you say, and counter-productive even if the feedback is indirect through the crowd rather than direct to the players.

Funny view these People come online during the game then get all popped up when people comment on the lack of performance of said game in action. If you don't want to see it. Why open the thread and just come online after the result? It's bizarre.

As simplistic a view as anyone will find on here today. If you’re defending this performance now we’ve scored I empathise. This is terrible. Last week was really poor. Wimbledon for most of the game was poor. Bolton was poor as was the second half against Wycombe. Winning is great. Most of the performances have been far from it. It needs to improve otherwise we’re not getting out of this league under McKenna, it’s as simple as that.

I made no comment on the performance, which is evidently poor, just amused at your definition of struggle tbh.

My comment was strongly in support of the view that the desire for instant gratification and a complete lack of patience with a new manager, is not only tiresome but can also be counter-productive. I don't really understand your comment, but apologies anyway.

Norwood’s heat map on 16:19 - Feb 5 by Keaneish | …but we created though and more often than not, had threat. In the last four games we’ve seen all the defensive frailties we had under Cook only we’re carrying less potency in the final third. At the moment, we’re struggling at home to Gillingham who we walked over a month ago. Why? This should be a walk in the park. |

I've tried to be more balance across the forum outside of game time. And kept away from alot of personal views. In game is a different ball game. It's always a roller coaster and you hope at the end your just celebrating a win anyway.

Norwood’s heat map on 16:18 - Feb 5 by FrimleyBlue | Quite ironic that a manager needs time to get across a style and approach.. It's taken Harris a week and Gills are night and day from what they were. |
Let’s wait to see in six weeks time shall we. Plenty of managers get get a flier and then drop off.

Norwood’s heat map on 16:03 - Feb 5 by Keaneish | My point of view, (which is well known) is that it wasn’t even that broke to need fixing so the idea of needing a lot of games to make his impression on the side feels like a misnomer. I’m happy to give it time but Gillingham away aside, it’s not been inspiring enough to warrant the sacking of Cook imo. |
15 points out of 21 is nothing like that loser.

Norwood’s heat map on 16:15 - Feb 5 by Keaneish | I’ve not made that assumption at all. Other than the system McKenna inherited, what exactly is McKenna’s style and approach? We should be seeing it by now but its a half way house between Cook and Lambert at the moment. It was far from broken under Cook. Inconsistent but not broken. |
Cook was an absolute loser who delivered our most embarrassing results in our history.
