Pic from one of the parties that did not meet the Met threshold for investigation. Got to wonder what the photos show of the ones that do...

do you have a link to that denial?

That Cummings bloke is a little weasel. Who needs mates like him.

That should all be sacked.

He’s an asset for now with the kompromat he has but he’s also part of the corruption.

I hope he also gets his karma.

not sure it really differs greatly.

You seem desperate not to find that Johnson has been attending parties and/or lying about those parties to parliament and to the public in numerous denials.

Is pretty clear from multiple statements he has made that he did indeed lie on multiple occasions like when he said "There were no parties" and "All guidance was followed"

Does it really doesn't need anyone to forensically spell it out for you?

can't find any such denial in the sue gray report? no mention of food and drink.

and the guardian report of the 'new' photo doesn't mention any previous denial of food and drink … surely the guardian would?

it's basically the same photo from 2 months ago showing boris dropping into a miserable online office quiz

And so as the loose-bowelled pigeon of time swoops low over the unsuspecting tourist of destiny, and the flatulent skunk of fate wanders into the air-conditioning system of eternity, I notice it's the end of the show

I'll find it, there was a screenshot of it earlier.

On the 18 Jan, Boris Johnson also told SkyNews (about that quiz) and repeated it in the House of Commons earlier
“I can’t believe we would have gone ahead with an event that people said was against the rules."

The rules (that he made) were no socialising outside of your support bubble or family indoors to a maximum of 2 people. A QC says food/drink already implies a social gathering in this context.

evidence needs to be interrogated. otherwise we all just nod along with the mob. truth shouldn't be tribal. if all of your passionate assertions are true you really shouldn't object to having them tested. it's how discussion works.

What are you testing exactly? The limited evidence we’ve been allowed to see by a government intent on keeping quiet? The fact every time they make a statement it’s proven to be a lie? The fact we all know it happened?

I wish you could apply the same kind of critique you save for anything remotely left of Tony Blair to the right of you too.

The evidence has been interrogated and after that the Met found 12 instances where a threshold had been reached for potential prosecution and gagged Sue Gray until they had finished.

It's sweet you think Johnson has done nothing wrong, but it is entirely delusional at the same time.

If you are that interested in getting a link - use the internet connection you're using to post on this thread to instead search for it yourself. You don't want to do that because you'd rather follow the Tory defence handbook and throw out as much smoke as you can to deflect.

The primary point for any reasonable person shouldn't be "have we seen this picture before?" but - "does this picture demonstrate a breaking of the rules" - That is the important point - the rest is noise and deflection

I've searched for any previous denial that there was food and drink at this event. I can't find one. do feel free to assist if you know of one.

By association it is, which is what the QC has said by looking at what Johnson has said previously.

Johnson again:
Official guidance also stated: “You must not have a work Christmas lunch or party, where that is a primarily social activity and is not otherwise permitted by the rules in your tier.”

Just two days after the Mirror's initial story, the PM said: “I can tell you once again that I certainly broke no rules."

Repeatedly he has said "they broke no rules, it was a virtual quiz" - consuming alcohol in a social setting like this was literally against the rules.

No reaching at all. It just doesn't meet your narrative.

It's not my problem you are too embedded in the lie to see it.

"by association" isn't the same.

my only narrative on this thread is that you have made some thing up.

But that's not really the key point - look at the picture - does it indicate a social gathering - Y/N - (the answer is Yes by the way) - was that against the rules at the time - that's the ONLY question you need to be asking - anything else just proves that you only care about defending the charlatans

i was responding to someone who had made up the denial about food and drink.

the picture shows an online office christmas quiz. an event which (a) is very much in the spirit of the restrictions; and (b) no sane person would take part in unless they felt a work obligation. i did work online quizzes, it was no one's idea of fun, it was in no sense a social activity, it was 100% work.

take a step back and ask if the re-issuing of the same photo from 2 months ago is really of any significance.
