Interesting interview, just goes to show how important a good manager is. Nice to hear that McKenna is just as good at man management as he is a tactician

Really good to see us actually play to his natural attributes, some of his deliveries were outstanding too. If Edwards had that kind of end product he’d be unstoppable. More of the same please, but it’s nice to have options where we’re not relying on Jackson in every game, we can play him when it suits us and him best.

Jackson is far more suited to the left-to-centre position than Norwood. He was superb today. The question is who will his partner be; I imagine Bonne or Norwood will get a run out on Tuesday.

On the TWTD season ratings, the player with the lowest overall score is the one with the highest maximum!

They'd all laugh at me if they knew what I was trying to do. To create a new strain of super-wine in half-an-hour with a fraction of nature's resources and a FOOL for an assistant. 'Bernard Black, he's mad,' they'd say, 'he's insane, he's dangerous.' Well I'll show them! I'll show them all!

I've never been a football manager, but surely in any walk of life or business it's just basic common sense to put your personnel in roles which play to their best strengths? Unbelievable that Cook didn't get that, or was too obstinate to implement it.

You mean he isn't perfect in every aspect?

Isn't that the point. A good manager makes the most of the tools at their disposal instead of bemoaning that they haven't got a team full of top international superstars?

You must stop coming out with logic like this!

But you are of course right.

McKenna has achieved a lot in a short space of time. 7 wins in 10, 7 clean sheets in 10.

But the transformation in Jackson is something that would've been even more unbelievable when he arrived.

Kudos to Jackson for keeping on trying, and open-mouthed praise to McKenna for his part in his renaissance...

From the view on ifollow it looked like he got a standing ovation when he was subbed, certainly was very loud applause. He must have felt 10 foot tall when he came off the pitch. Good on him.

Of course.

But his red card after 10 minutes against Sunderland last season was totally unnecessary. That was the letting the manager, team and fans down. That's why I've said he ain't faultless.

I'd certainly keep him in the team on Tuesday though as he must be full of confidence.

He's played a blinder in terms of getting the squad onside, Jackson being the best example. Even Pigott though, despite the fact he's still not producing in terms of numbers, I have confidence that McKenna will put him in the team and give him enough chances that he will start to show his worth.

It would be very easy to have come in and stuck with Bonne and Norwood as starters most weeks because of what they've done before he arrived, but he's got everyone involved. Even if Jackson hadn't been that impressive in training, something tells me McKenna just wanted to get some confidence into him, so has gradually integrated him.

Fair play to both of them.
