Abramovich on 10:15 - Mar 10 with 1339 views | itfcsuth | Fantastic news. Man with close ties to the Kremlin. Set of horrible horrible fans. Only one week ago they sang in support of Roman Abramovich during a minutes applause for Ukraine. Let's hope the football club suffers as much misery as possible.

Once/if sanctions are lifted I assume? But that could take a very very long time. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

The way it was just explained on the wireless is yes it can be sold if it's been seized as an asset, however Abramovich wouldn't receive any money from the sale the tax payer would. Although it seems that's highly unlikely at the moment as the aim of the sanctions is for these individuals to put pressure on Putin.

They could cycle. A dozen tandems and a bike with a little box trailer for the kit should get all players and staff safely to the ground. Plenty of money for a Big Mac and a tent if it’s an overnighter. Sorted. Couldn’t happen to a nicer club.
Abramovich on 11:54 - Mar 10 with 1010 views | Pinewoodblue | Presumably Chelsea cannot sell tickets to their own fans for away games nor for any future Champions League games this season, they might as well not bother to turn up next Wednesday.

Abramovich on 10:03 - Mar 10 by HighgateBlue | I would say that a total transfer ban and a ban on all further ticket sales is a pretty big change. How self-sufficient is Chelsea if it can't sell players or tickets? The government's statement is thus far light on detail, but taken literally it would imply that no away teams will be allowed fans at Stamford Bridge, which seems like an unfortunate unintended consequence. Maybe this will be a further, as yet unannounced, exception with this licence that's been referred to. |
No away fans wouldn't affect Norwich..... they'd return the tickets anyway.

I'm currently scouring the Laws of the game to see if there's some kind of Byzantine clause in which you can both lose 10-0.
