Mr Ashton is rubbish. We are a mid table division 3 club. Until this club finds a way to move up the leagues our status remains the same. Sorry to mention it but you were involved in 19 players coming in last summer. 6 players were top quality and now we have to go again. All your big ideas will be meaningless if we can’t get out of this league.

We are a medium club IMO

We are not a giant, we are not an Everton or a West Ham. I think we're a very decent medium sized club and actually there are about 20 I would put on a similar level. England is full of decent medium sized clubs like us.

I don't see why people need to talk us down all the time. Small clubs do not get 25,000 in the third division.

Truly impaired.

We are not in the league, size wise, of a good number of clubs, but there are many more that do not have the potential of this one. As you rightly point out small clubs do not get the crowds we do. Our attendances home and away are greater than a good number of championship clubs and a few PL ones too.

I’d say are in the same ballpark as Norwich, Derby, Leicester, Southampton, Forest and a few others. Medium sized is a good description.

What is clear is that the club is not fulfilling its potential on or off the field by any stretch and I guess that’s the primary attraction for the investors and why we are seeing exciting times at the club, even if results on the pitch aren’t where we want them to be yet.

If you were really peckish we may be just a little too small, or if you'd had a big breakfast we may be a bit too much to have at once. We're responsibly sized and rightly so.

Correct, however my original reply said they seem to have the presence of a big club during games. That's not saying they are a big club, it's just they own the pitch at this level.
Again that's my view of it.

But 'owning the pitch at this level' isn't the definition of a big club, is my point. It's meaningless drivel. You might as well say they're carrots at this level. That doesn't mean anything either.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

Those aren't a bad carrot at this level to be fair.

Can't be considered big in physical structure, but they are certainly big in the popularity stakes.

My word, they could be the Ipswich of the carrot world.

You were right.

I thought he got unfair stick as CM but since he outed himself he seems to have deliberately doubled down on being a muppet.

I've been liberally using the div list lately.

Well yes - Town are and always have been anything other a ‘big club’. For a brief moment in time they have been a small town club punching considerably above their weight due largely to a charismatic chairman and two long departed managers.

Now they are a decayed small Town club fallen prey to some financial opportunists. Of course the chancers looking to make a financial killing at the club’s expense are talking big. But they don’t know any better

Spot-on sir. Why don’t you post more often?

Innit. We're quite clearly a big club at our level. Probably a middling club at the next level, and a small one at Premier League level.

Such a weird thing for people to p1ss their pants over.
