He's got a point. I mean Umbro are famous for spending a fortune in design hours and research to supply bespoke kits to The Selkirk, The Golden Hind and The Belstead Arms.
Here we are…! on 09:53 - Jun 16 with 1092 views | clive_baker | Away kit is lovely aside from the trim on the sleeves, think it would look better without that but still a nice kit. Love a red and black striped number. Home is definitely different, absolute screams winning the league. [Post edited 16 Jun 2022 9:55]

Here we are…! on 09:41 - Jun 16 by SitfcB | We have had them on the sleeve before. |
I'd forgotten that. Back of the neck is a bit more "out of the way" than chest or sleeve, but it's not a big deal, they are still present. Perhaps it's so outfoxed opposition players can see the stars as Wes Burns runs away from them with the ball.

They are being phased out - if you get to the PL you can only have stars for European Cup wins so we'd have to lose them then over badge

Here we are…! on 09:46 - Jun 16 by bringbacktheglory | So many fans have been asking for bespoke and unique kits, the club have delivered. Even if I didn’t like them I would be delighted that the club have gone in this direction. Credit to Umbro for going with it. I love the home shirt, I think it’s a great shirt. Retro is in, it’s a nod to a previous promoting and I think this will really sell. Away kit is good, it’s bespoke and is different. I like it for that reason! COYB! |
Away kit is a Bournemouth home kit copy!

It's really not. It is red and black stripes. That's it. Impossible not to have similarities. But nothing about the design or layout or features is anything remotely similar. Bournemouth have never had a stripe replaced with a gathering of stripes. They haven't had striped cuffs. It can't be red and black stripes without sharing some similarities to another team in red and black stripes, but that aside there's plenty of differences from anything Bournemouth have ever had.

Wonder if we could get round that by having miniature embroidered silhouettes of each cup rather than stars? I can see why in the Prem, as certain teams would be able to cover their kits in them.

Aside from the colours I don't think it is either. Sleeves are completely different and doesn't have the black trim like theirs does. We also have the thicker stripes centrally and thinner towards the sides where as they have a consistent stripe throughout. FWIW I think B'mouth's home shirt is very nice anyway.

Glad I'm not the only one to notice this. From watching the video, I found it hard to make a judgement of the shirts. But seeing the photo on the Club Shop website that's just kicked me out as they're overloaded and now I'm waiting in position 600+ again, the home shirt looks alright, definitely unique which is a break from the templatey Adidas stuff.

How true! Of the two I prefer the away shirt. It’s all opinions and I overall I hope people approve and they both sell well.

Do Planet Blue allow you to try them on in-store? I never knew they had a changing room etc.

Seems to me the away is polarising people, but will obviously sell, I really like the Home shirt, one of the best for years.

Here we are…! on 09:34 - Jun 16 by Steve_M | They've fked the away kit up then. The sleeves and uneven stripes look weird, could have been a classic. Not sure on the home either way yet. Not a fan of the pattern but overall effect is good. |
Just noticed the uneven stripes. Why do that? Not keen on the shade of blue for the home shirt. Looks like something bought from eBay that is twenty five years old. [Post edited 16 Jun 2022 10:24]

Here we are…! on 09:51 - Jun 16 by Vaughan8 | I must be the opposite to most people. Away shirt looks good. The home shirt just looks a bit meh! However, sometimes seeing them "in the flesh" makes them better/worse. |
No I agree and quite like the away kit. I really don't see the fuss about the home kit, don't think it looks that great personally. I don't care about kits and don't tend to buy them but i much prefer when we play in a simpler but well finished shirt than these patterned creations. Hey ho, if the majority of the fan base is happy and buys it then I'm happy as that's good for the club. [Post edited 16 Jun 2022 10:30]

Yes, there's a small changing room upstairs (near the staircase). But I don't believe it's open on matchdays though.
