Hardest you've ever celebrated a town goal? 04:25 - Aug 25 with 6409 viewsBondiBlue

Armstrong's last-minute winner at Spurs, 2001. I really, really wanted us to stay up. Went way more ballistic than any of the 2000 playoff goals, Wilnis v. Man U, Armstrong v. Inter, Darren Bent at Carrow Road etc.

Poll: Which would you accept?

Magilton's in play-off semi against Bolton, last minute equaliser to take us into extra time... PR was absolute bedlam, the atmosphere that night was off the scale

Reuser running through at Wembley - you know we'd done it

Wilnis against Man U... I was right behind the line of the shot.. and again the atmosphere and belief in PR that night was electric.. people forget the quality of the Man U team, and to see them in the flesh.. amazing

Bramble against Sunderland following the Man U game... it was our first Premier League win and it felt significant... and of course it was a wonder goal

I actually went mental for Burns first and our third at 4-1 Wycombe away.. great away support, we'd weathered early pressure.. and it felt like a turning point.. but was not to be with the hapless Cook.. great beers up from London on train

I LOVED and went crazy for Chaplin's goal against MK Dons recently, some lapsed blues and family who hadn't seen an Ipswich win for a long time, came along... and it was just a beauty of a move...

Ian Atkins last minute winner against Oxford in 1986, we all thought that would be the goal that kept us up

Anderson in the playoffs.
Gwion Edwards vs Reading 2019, equaliser in a must-not lose game, gap going into the game was 6 points to 21st placed Reading, a win and we're right in the scrap, a loss and and we're dead and buried. Thought Ipswich would carry the momentum and nick one in the last ten. Didn't quite happen as I hoped.

I survived Ipswich 0-0 Burton

My only regret with the Gunn/Ullathorne goal was that it didn't happen at the North stand end. That would have looked epic on the TV

So true. Similarly, I’m Still annoyed our goal at Oxford in 92 was at the home end. Would have been some right old scenes had it been at other end.

Possibly worthy of it's own thread. Goals you wish had been at the opposite end to which they were scored at.

I think Johnson's header being at the Anfield Road end is about 70% of the reason why it ranks so highly..

Reuser at Wembley (completely lost it to the point of light headedness 😂)
Fab v Manure (still the best PR atmosphere I’ve ever experienced. It felt like there were 50k+ fans)

That home game against Oxford (hate Ray Houghton) when Butch made it 2-1 or was it 3-1?

3 goals in the last few minutes.... remember my mate getting passed back above our heads in the NS.

Crazy game. When footy was footy, a proper contact sport

Think I’ve posted this before on here but I had £10 on Titus to get the first goal against Sunderland at 50/1.

Half the money I won paid to replace the glasses I smashed celebrating in the North Stand.

I only started going to games in the mid 2000s (work, time, money. transport), so mine are Chopra making it 2-3 away at Coventry in the snow and Carlos Edwards' last-gasp winner away at Derby the following season.

With honorable mention to Noel Hunt's strike at Charlton, with the ITFC South West crew going berserk in Toto's bar in Bristol, much to the bemusement of the hen party who were just arriving for their evening do.

Glad the Cov game got a mention, I remember that one particularly fondly as it was during a time when we kept on losing 3-2. They were attacking in injury time and I can remember thinking 'just blow the whistle, I'll happily take the draw' and then we went up the other end and scored.

And by the time I got back to Sheffield about 2 feet of snow had settled. All round a class day.
