Name me a worse refereeing performance than that... 17:47 - Aug 27 with 2664 viewsblaggers

Stephen Martin - remember the name - penalty turned down, but the disallowed goal was the cherry on the cake.

EFL refs are consistently dreadful.

First time I've heard K-Mac semi angry.

I think maybe the ref was actually Dean Martin, rather than Stephen, and he saw the second Marcus Harness do something that the first Marcus Harness didn't do. Hic!

Nothing wrong with the harness goal, he just didn't want town to win, having said that I thought we were slow today, no oomph,

He’s an absolute cretin and has been every time he’s referee’d us. He’s an embarrassment to the profession and I pity anybody who needed Staffordshire fire service before he retired.

Someone has named Clive Thomas quite correctly, but the worst decision against Town was also at Stamford Bridge when a shot hit the stanchion outside the goal, but was given as a goal.

He was dreadful but without our two defensive blunders we win the game anyway!

We’ve had four seasons of League 1 referees. They are not going to get any better so we just have to deal with it.

How are we supposed to deal with woeful referees? We score a perfectly good goal and they chalk it off anyway. Nothing to say he wouldn’t have found a reason to rule out any subsequent goals. A meathead with his sense of self importance would be looking to make it all about him anyway.

Couldn't really see the penalty decision, the handbell for the free-kick that led to their first goal looked spot on, but the disallowed goal staggered me. At first I was screaming for a penalty, then he put it away anyway. When the ref pulled it back I assumed he was giving the penalty, which would've been bad enough, but when he gave a free-kick I was speechless.

First half going in level was our own fault, but if we'd gone to 3-1 then I think it was pretty much game over. Would be interesting to see it back though.

Indeed. Also Kieran Barrett who ref’d Cambridge away in 92 and allowed Heathcote’s equalizer.
