Come on everyone lets get excited about a massive Bristol Rovers clash.. 20:06 - Sep 11 with 3210 viewsunstableblue

... under the lights on Tuesday night

Chance to secure our rightful position at the top of the League, on a night where I expect our rivals to win.. and where we're going to get a real test from Joey Barton's Rovers

But we should have enough.. team will surely be (for a less aerial and physical Bristol):

-------------------Walton
-------Doanicien-Wolf-Edmundson
Burns--------Morsy---Evans----Leif
------------Chaplin-----Harness
---------------Ladapo

Subs: Hladky, KVY, Burgess, Leigh, Ball, JJ, Ahadme

Which mean Keogh, Edwards, Camara, Humphreys, and Jackson miss out completely.. Keogh and Camara must be pushing hard

We need to come out of the blocks fast and hard

Cannot wait

That will be emotional, especially with the Bristol fans feeling just as much love for Stewie.

As far as I'm aware it's on, press conference has been arranged for tomorrow lunchtime. EFL only said Friday and Saturday on their press release anyway.

It has given extra time to get Chaplin and Burns fully fit, plus Cambridge were on good form so probably a good time to miss them - not that we should be afraid of anyone.

Given the way other sports have handled things, the EFL would be very open to accusations of going over the top should further postponements be imposed.

I can see Edwards coming back into squad. McK has made it clear he doesn't want to freeze anyone out and wants to have every involved. KVY to miss out if that happens, I'd guess.

Despite trimming it down the squad is still quite big!

Yes, probably don't need all of KVY, Burgess and Leigh on the bench. Needs an additional midfielder, but perhaps Camara if he's fit?

Should have mentioned that Bristol Rovers drew away at Plymouth recently so are no mugs

Camara may well be fit, and I think is guaranteed on bench

Don’t see Edwards making the bench, does some good stuff, but touch is not there yet

KVY is back up to Burns who is often taken off, harsh on Leigh to not make match day bench.

Jeez, makes it tough doesn't it. Burgess has done well but Leigh and Ball can cover CB if injuries, so maybe he misses out? Harsh. Would like to see Edmundson back in.

I’m assuming Bristol play more on the ground, and Edmundson returns as per my suggested line up, which is incredibly harsh on Burgess.. he was great at Accrington, and maybe keeps his place. He’ll definitely be on bench at a minimum.

I think over time you’ll see 2 defenders, 2 mid, 2 attackers making the six…

And with Ball guaranteed (guy won’t be happy if not, and would prefer a start)… we’re going to start to see some big players not in match day squad

KVY, Burgess, Ball, Camara, JJ, Ahadme and Hladky

Incredible that Jackson, Keogh, Leigh may miss out… but there will be further injuries

I had Cambridge as a draw due to their form and the derby spice they’ve created… agree postponement may be positive, also allows me to go!

Hope the missed match doesn’t effect our momentum though… rovers wont be a pushover

The lying-in-state doesn't begin until Wednesday, so even if the Met does require reinforcements to manage what should be a fairly orderly queue, that won't affect our game the night before. Then on Saturday, Town are up in Sheffield.

I think Keogh will be the go to sub. So if Burgess plays then Edmundson misses out and if Edmundson plays then Burgess misses out.

Think you could be right, especially for the games against bigger clubs, where we might need Keogh's experience and also his creativity form the bench to steer a game to a win.

And of course... an injury to a CB is never far away... and I think that's what is exciting about this squad...

We can lose a Morsy, a Burns, a Davis, an Evans Chaplin, a Ladapo - to injury, to international call, to suspension, to loss of form.. and we have significant back up

Over a long season.. its massive

But really to keep the winning run going Tuesday... give some breathing space for Hillsborough and a tough month

They're a club I take a lot of interest in, but they're really quite a basic side at the moment. I don't think they have much real quality, they're just young, pretty well organised and get the basics right. To be fair to Joey Barton he's done well with what he's got, his hands are tied a little bit and he hasn't been backed in the market to attract the right quality of player there. And when you're also not effectively growing your own players that's going to leave you up against it. I think they'll be in and around the bottom 3rd all season and would do well to stay up.

Aaron Collins is a good player though, we'll need to watch him. 4 goals and 3 assists so far, he's a handful. Guess he'll be known to a couple of ours, Lee Evans also comes from Newport and made the same move to Wolves, and would've been there with him.

I think we'll stick a few past them though. 3-1 Town.
