People arriving here have the right to claim asylum and to be treated humanely and fairly whilst that claim is processed.

Guardian would never run such a story. It's not attacking the govt and portraying all who enter the UK as poor, desperate people fleeing war zones and persecution.
The real need to is to establish safe and legal routes for genuine asylum seekers to get to Britain and literally take away the market for these gangs. That's where the govt have failed IMO. |

It must be hard for simple righties - these naughty foreigners invanding the UK. Affecting the lives of righties up and down the country.
Whereas in reality those arriving are making NO difference at all. In fact as far as number go the UK has over a million less folk than before COVID.
Could there be some sort of warning as with pets and fireworks, for righties over these stories. Or maybe advise. Keep calm and carry on. This does not affect you.
The fact the government has not provided the necessary numbers to process claims is not unusual. As there are not enough police to attend burglaries etc. There are over 2 million over 50s off work with many waiting for minor treatment. Delayed ambulance response tine due to staff shortages at hospitals. Bed blocking due to staff shortages in care homes problems in schools due to underfunding
