…for pairing Graham Souness with Roy Keane. Marvellous telly when Keane gets out in his place.

Would love to have seen them play against one another. Feel Souness would have nailed him one way or another.

I’m still of the opinion that Keane is fundamentally a bully - stand up to him and I bet if he thought you can handle yourself he’ll always back down.

They're both parodies these days.

Souness has come out with some strange stuff since the Ronaldo saga.

Money on Souness on that one.

You don’t understand Keane’s personality if you think he’s a bully.

He was a winner not so much a bully.

This. Worth noting that Arenal dominated them when they had Viera playing in their midfield.

Fond of big forearms, pressers and four centre halves at the back?

Although, every time he played someone willing to give it back to him, he did tend to come off second best.

Viera, Davids, even our midfield in 2000.

Rubbish. Both had their upper hand in the games but that's to be expected as they were both top players.

Although only one of them ran away from a World Cup.

And then spent his latter years sneering at 'pampered' modern players.

I love opinions. I disagree. I saw them both play live and for me, Souness was the better player. He was also hard as hell and could take it as well as dish it out.

Obviously, it's a matter of opinion but it's Souness for me, with 3 World Cup appearances (including 1978 when only 16 teams qualified) and 3 European Cups.

Watched him dominate Davids and Dechamps v Juve in '99
I thought he was better than Viera tbh. For me the best Premier League midfielder.

I saw some footage recently of Man Utd playing Wimbledon (in their crazy gang days). Vinny Jones was kicking lumps out of Keane and he did nothing about it. Granted, Keane was still a youngster then.

But even as a youngster at Forest he still tried to come across as a hard man.
