Time for a change against Morecambe 17:35 - Jan 21 with 3208 views | pointofblue | Walton Clarke - Woolfenden - Burgess Burns - Morsy - Evans - Davis Chaplin Ladapo - Broadhead Go back to three at the back to flood the middle and two up top. Ladapo's best form has been with a striking partner and Broadhead looked lively when coming on. Edit - misspelt the title. [Post edited 21 Jan 2023 17:44]

Time for a chanage against Morecambe on 17:37 - Jan 21 with 2373 views | homer_123 | Yep....I don't want a change in how we approach games. But I do think 3 at the back is worth a stint again.

Time for a chanage against Morecambe on 17:40 - Jan 21 with 2334 views | Garv | Albeit McGreal started it (we assume) but when McKenna came in we were playing this way with two big strikers in Norwood and Bonne, and were a good mix of pretty football and direct and physical. We're now almost too pretty for our own good. I'll keep saying it as well, I think Celina has been a bigger miss than people realize when comparing this season to last.

Yep. Tighten up a bit at the back and some support for the striker up top.

Honestly...its more to do with taking chances. Today is as bad as we've played under KM but how many chances did we miss inside 12 yards today and hit the bar. We are marginally the wrong side of things at the moment and it's ruddy annoying.

Time for a chanage against Morecambe on 17:45 - Jan 21 with 2238 views | Parky | None of the defence deserve to keep their place to be honest. 1 clean sheet since November, absolutely criminal Edmundson isn’t getting a look in.

Edmundson was very poor when he played earlier this season, prior to being replaced by Burgess. Worse than Burgess now, despite his faults. He could get another shot, possibly instead of Woolfenden, but I would be concerned about overhauling the whole defence at the same time as changing the shape.

Something has to change, Edmundson was part of a very solid defence that kept many clean sheets at the back-end of last season, at least worth an opportunity. This all said, the buck doesn’t stop with just the defenders - Harness, Evans, Burns & Ladapo have all been below average recently in my opinion and should be rotated. [Post edited 21 Jan 2023 17:54]

We rotated Ladapo today. Hirst didn't look any better. We haven't got many options in central midfield; could try Luongo for Evans, I guess. But I think it'll be akin to changing deckchair on the Titanic. The issues go deeper than the personnel.

Sorry, but not Humphreys. Not from the off with Morsy and Luongo fit. He's cost us four points over the last few weeks on his own (albeit gained one versus ten man Lincoln). Great for the future, but not yet.

Time for a change against Morecambe on 23:36 - Jan 21 with 1870 views | StokieBlue | Interestingly, a few posters were happy to calculate points per game for Burgess vs Edmundson when they wanted Edmundson out of the team even though the sample size for Burgess was very small. Now Burgess has a larger sample size which given our results will probably show a completely different points per game for Edmundson and Burgess these calculations are absent. Burgess has done OK but today was a re-enactment of Father Teds 5-a-side where someone walked past him at glacial speed. It's clearly not all his fault we are doing less well but I would like to see Edmundson back in there, I just think we are a better overall team with him in. SB

You're dropping Chaplin? You're playing Broadhead out of position? SB

This manager is too stubborn to play two upfront. Gonna be the same tactics, formation etc etc. Playing slowly out of the back in attempt to walk with the ball into the net. Just like in almost every single game.

If Edmundson returns I want us to play a back three, not a back four partnership with Woolfenden. [Post edited 21 Jan 2023 23:43]

SB.. edmundson doesn't seem to be available for selection. Hence why people aren't including him. But whilst people are correct in how wrong footed Burgess was today again. It doesn't mean donacien and Wolfenden weren't at fault either. But the time has come imo for Burgess to be dropped. Problem is who is actually available to go cb?

Scoring hasn't been the problem lately (or all season) so your complaints about the style or attacking seem a bit strange. SB

Not directed solely at you, but does anyone know the reality of why Edmundson isn't featuring at all - is it purely injury, or is he out of favour (and if so, is that for footballing or other reason/s?); or a combination of both?

It has. We have been missing chances. We don't put the games into the bed. We just keep trying to walk with the ball into the net. Teams are just sussing us out. So if anything that is strange it's you.
