We are just simply the unluckiest team ever...
Teams almost always score with their only shots on target and normally by a player who never scores or was only playing due to lack of numbers. Not forgetting the defected shots from 20+ yards.
We must average a goal every 6 shots on target and normally come up against a keeper who has a bad back from conceding so many and plays the game of their life.

I don’t think there are any ‘buts’ in this. Luck plays no part whatsoever in anything. You get what you deserve, no more no less.
Possession is great but there are no points for that. Controlling a game for 89 mins is great, but it counts for nothing if you can’t put the game to bed and/or collapse with the first puff of wind.
There have been too many failures since the season defining Charlton / Sheffield W games for it not to be a pattern. No excuses, no bad luck, just inadequacy on our part and good play from our opponents.
You are right - we aren’t good enough for automatic places. Performances and results prove that. The question is what are we going to do about it and where do we go from here? It’s a big test now for McKenna. | | | |
