All the grifters and every far right group going will be there, this is now a weekend pastime for them.
They'll also be protesting about the World Economic Forum, 15 minute cities, Bill Gates - I just hope not too many Ipswich people join them, bar to try and run them out of town
Admittedly, housing the refugees in the Novotel is really far from ideal - my wife went to cinema last week at Buttermarket and there are so many men just hanging around there it's not very comfortable

If we had a government determined to make the immigration service run efficiently, they might not need to be housed in Novotels for long periods or forced to hang around the streets idle while their claims are processed. Heck, they could even find jobs and become taxpayers. But the scumbags would rather keep them in limbo and use for self-promotion - citing the uncomfortable atmosphere they themselves are responsible for creating.
NB: Not directed at you or your wife for feeling uncomfortable, but those who have caused this situation to exist.

Absolutely - I 100% agree. That these refugees are dumped in town centre hotels with no hope of doing anything, no money to spend and no purpose is absolutely the Govts fault and a deliberate act.
But, young men with nothing to do just hanging around are going to cause trouble - just things to elimnate boredom.
It's not an anti foreigner thing either - I've sat in airports for hours on end when flights delayed on a stag do as an example. It always ends up with people doing stupid things to occupy the time and no doubt what would be anti social behaviour to those around.
Bored groups of men with nothing to do always have the potential to be a menace to society

If they were white asylum seekers, nobody would notice, apparently. Edit, forgot to post the link.

Still, it'll be nice to see Ipswich's MP actually in the town, right?
I'd be interested to hear his reasoning for not attending such an event, given it is the exact stance that he and his increasingly far-right party is taking.

"Rapeugees"?
Struggling to see that as anything other than hate language.
Where's it from?
A friend spotted linked in a comment on the EADT site.
Of course it's hate language, which is becoming increasingly normalised by the most morally bankrupt government we've ever had. I'm not sure they're even smart enough to realise the beast they're unleashing with their language.

They know exactly what they're doing. They're probably even starting to plot their equivalent of a Jan 6 insurrection when they finally get kicked out.
I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Gullis, Hunt and Dorries leading Right Said Fred, Yaxley-Lennon and Katie Hopkins over the barricades to reclaim Parliamentary Sovereignty.
As with all these things, it will end in splits and recriminations, probably triggered by Richard Fairbrass and Lee Hurst fighting over who is going to get to wear the bison horn hat.

Ipswich Old Bill are going to have their hands full on Saturday.
Am genuinely split on this. On the one hand, standing up to racists is something that sounds good and to be encouraged.
On the flip side I fear that a confrontation and aggressive actions / reactions (as we saw in Liverpool) makes the headlines and gives them the fuel of publicity.
Whatever people do I hope it will be peaceful. I don't have the confidence in myself not to get aggressive so will opt to steer clear.
Ideal world a few loons turn up on the racist side, make some noise and go home without any violence, as much as I dislike them, letting them play the victim etc. isn't good.
As vile as they are, they have a right to protest. Hopefully the old bill will ensure those in the hotel are kept safe and reassured, can't imagine how scary it will be knowing there's people outside wanting to harm you...
