Air Fryer TW4TDERS 10:37 - Mar 26 with 3868 viewsLord_Lucan

Took delivery of a Ninja AF451UK yesterday and it looks a fantastic beast.

Had no time to do much last night so just whacked some sausages and chips in there - easy peasy.

This morning Grandson and I did a cup cake science test, oven took 25 mins and Ninja 14 mins - Ninja results bigger and fluffier.

Any tips and recipes welcome

I got the missus the 15 in 1 Multi-Cooker for Christmas cos I wanted the extra functions above and beyond just air frying and it’s the bees knees, hardly ever use the oven now. You should have a book come with it that contains a load of recipes, use that for a couple weeks to get used to timings and then play around with stuff, but give chicken wings a go, stick some Franks hot sauce on them and blissfully enjoy! As others have said, there’s an endless supply of videos online, just Google it.

Cook some chilli in a pan as usual, place into a wrap, add cheese, fold the wrap and place in air fryer for about 12 minutes on 180...

Cut it in half(because it'll be too hot to bite into)and use salsa and or Greek yogurt as condiment on the side..

I cook a few of these and take them to work and eat them cold..

It's easy to just think of recipes. But the game change for me was using only in the process of cooking something else. For example the recipe may instruct my to roast carrots and Kofta in the oven. Appliances are huge over here, so that means waiting 20mins for the oven to get to temperature, then 20min for the carrots to roast. In the air fryer it is 10 mins. So it turns an hour worth of prep and cooking into 30 mins. Overall making many meals much more accessible for me to cook after work.

I forgot to come back.

All went swimmingly. Whole chicken in one tray and spuds and carrots in the other. When I took the chicken out to rest and carve I whacked the kale in.

Teething problems but carrots took longer than I thought, added them to the spuds after 10 mins but should have put them in from the start. Kale didn't really work, it ended up like crispy seaweed but I ate it and it tasted ok but didn't go with a roast so I microwaved cooked some peas as well.

If it wasn't for the carrots I could have cooked it all in under an hour.

Pros - pretty much everything but biggest was ease and no mess - only two fryer baskets for the Mrs to wash up.

Cons - no meat juices to make a gravy, although it didn't matter yesterday aa I already had some in the freezer. Oh, and Lady L said she preferred oven roasties as they would be more greasy.
