I'm going to go against the flow here: I like Wednesday.
I've been following Town for 50 years and I've had no great issue with Wednesday ever. I'm not going to let a few midweek posters on a rival's fan site cloud my judgement of the club or their whole fan base.

Apparently Sheffield Utd used to be 'Norwich of North' as we had a bit of animosity with them in late 90's.
But there is no comparison between them and Sheffield Wed as Wednesday are far worse.
Not only Twitter it is also some football forums on Facebook that are the carnage at the moment as Sheffield Wed fans are calling us various kinds of names, cowards, grasses etc etc. Their hysteria about us and referee for tomorrows game is stupendous.
A whiny bunch of pigs.
Not only do I want them to fail to go up I also want their promotion push to be destroyed by some genuine mistake, offside or handball. That would be hilarious. |  | | |

Its all very odd.
The international postponement is aood, but Surely they're not so thick ( ) to think it had to be done early enough for the fans.....Not our fault if Jamaica go back on what they say?
The penalty was given but no red card because they didn't know who did it. They got lucky there. Not sure why its our fault there was footage of their player elbowing our player. If we had VAR, he'd have missed the rest of that game and the ban.
Ref is openly a Sheff wednesday fan and we are clearly both fighting to go up. To be honest, its a massive C0ck up by whoever alloccates the refs.

Agree. The small but very reactionary percentage of all clubs' fans are part of what makes football what it is. Addictive and generally incredibly expensive and time consuming, but brilliant.
There's currently another thread on the front page here talking about the views of some budgies on the Pink 'un. Complete delusion by a whole fan base against your main rivals is just brilliant and totally normal in football. But there is quite a large handful of complimentary comments in that thread about us. I'm happy to give credit where it's due to most clubs but saying nice stuff about Naardgje - NEVER! They are all scum. I can't even bring myself to like Stephen Fry. | | | |

Where I live I have to get on with some of their fans. It works both ways. I really can't wait until the correct order of things is restored, though. It has been embarrassing for over 10 years now. | |

The list is endless and the fact they were the second team founded in Sheffield only so we had someone to play just eats away at them.
They are ahead of us in playing terms but still have to try & prove they are ‘something’.
Just sounds like Ipswich. They could have played their football, probably been quite admired for it, but no, let’s be complete di*k wipes and try and prove beyond proof they are ‘something’.

Generally speaking I am fond of the big Northern clubs, due mostly to nostalgia and tradition but that sentiment hasn’t stretched to Wednesday since the 1986 season, for the following reasons :
Prior to the home fixture, me and my mate Glen had to leg it from about 6-7 of their fans. We hid in John Menzies.
In the last away game of that season I travelled up to Hillsborough. Wednesday beat us 1-0 with a very late (Brian Marwood?) winner. Without that, we might not have gone down in ‘86 and it’s too soon to forgive and forget. | | | |

For some bizarre reason she neglects to mention that the ref in question is a Sheffield Wednesday fan. And that their second goal against us was clearly offside.
