It's one of those classic signs that the Club is going in the right direction. Whatever one thinks of the guy (and I can sympathise with those whose views are less than favourable), it's only right that the town's MP should stick up for the town and the club and publicise their achievements. Lord knows it's been a while since an MP of any colour has had the chance!

As always with Rhyming-Slang, it's an opportunity for cheap point scoring and personal PR rather than actually doing something useful for the community he claims to represent.

It's extremely fitting that he was appointed Ipswich MP whilst Paul Lambert was in charge here.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

He's a dangerous, opportunist shyster who has no place welcoming anyone to Portman Road and should fcuk off as far away as possible.

I have zero problem with this. As much as the guy is a bell end, he is doing he should be doing which is promoting and raising awareness around all things that fall within his constituency.

I'd be surprised if he's ever watched a game of football. Classic candidate for a half and half scarf.

He has been to games this season. I didn't get to meet him, which might be just as well.

Quite. Especially as his point here was that we should be clamping down harder on the democratic right to protest.

We have to get them out at the next GE.
