No, they still finished below us under Mick when we weren't particularly good.
They gambled on being a yo-yo team and I hope we cut their string this season. Then their ground burns down again without the insurance being strong armed and they go down to League 2 and get bought by some crypto bros and end up in the National League talking about Jeremy Goss like he was some sort of Welsh Jesus.

They made the Championship Playoffs in 01/02 and have won a ton of promotions and league titles since, so I’d say well over 20 years they’ve been superior to us. Credit where credits due, they’ve been a well run club and will be up there this season. |  | | |

But had we not gone into administration and effectively imploded as a club, do you think they would have had this spell of “superiority”? It’s taken Town nearly 20 years to recover from that administration and in that time scumville have won what, exactly? Even smaller clubs like Brentford, Fulham, Swansea fairer better when they were promoted to the PL. Scumville rarely muster a showing above 4th from bottom. Their “ superiority” is more a reflection of the outfall from administration of their fiercest rivals, than them making any significant “progress”. They’ve had close to a £bn going into their coffers over the last 15 years and all they have to show for it is “ a nice training ground”… |  |
