He’s played 30 odd games which is 28 odd games more than Leif played for Leeds at the same level.
ETA and sadly almost as many for Norwich at the same level [Post edited 22 Aug 2023 18:43]

At the same age, Brandon Williams record is far better, at a much bigger club.
Without putting down Davis in any way, hes brilliant, the comparison is now completely skewed the other way on the basis of one outstanding season in L1. I wonder how well Brandon Williams would have done if he dropped down that far. | | | |

Having just watched the inevitable Brandon Williams reel, he does seem a somewhat different player to Davis, whom we especially value for his marauding runs and crosses. All the snapshots of Williams are of lightning-quick bulldog tackles. I do appreciate that he was playing for Norwich, and thus any forays forward might have been limited. I doubt that offensively he would yet be up to Lief's standard, but defensively he seems very good - though you don't get the aerial prowess thrown in that Greg Leigh possesses on account of William's being five foot seven. | |

He can play both sides. So excellent cover for Davis, but a better option than Janoi if we are managing Clarke's injury. He'll get plenty of game time.

I don't understand the negativity around this tbh. He's going to add some quality especially when kmac gets hold of him,time for him to flourish. Losing Leif would be pretty disastrous old day.
I saw this guy play for Norwich and he’s not a patch on Leif. We would be downgrading. Leigh is the better player. |

Ah ok, I see I did in my 2nd post which was indeed a typo. Should be quite clear I’m referring to Leif as I think it’s obvious to anyone that Leif is a far better player than Leigh. My point I was making is I personally think Davis is a better player than Williams on what I’ve seen of the two irrespective of the standard of club they have spent most of their career at. |
My guess would be, and this is a pure stab in the dark, that KMcK has seen more of Williams than you have. And maybe I'd be willing to trust his judgement on that rather than your single viewing.
