This argument makes no sense to me at all. It would be no different to signing a player then moving him on after a season - there was hero worship for Greg Leigh after a season of barely playing for us. Loads of players only stay at a club for one season in the modern game, whether on loan or otherwise, so its a part of the game whether you like it or not.
Personally, I just want us to be able to put out the strongest team possible, and if we can get a loan player that we'd not otherwise be able to afford then that's fine. Obviously don't want a team full of loanees, but 2 or 3 is more than fine. |  |
