I maybe getting on but I remember when TWTD forum was full of decent discussion points on cheese and Brexit and joking about new signings, people helping each other out and a general laugh. I mean people were helping me with my dissertation well over a decade ago.
But jesus wept, posters body shaming a new signing based on a photo.
Double chin, really. The state of some of these posters. Give your head a wobble. I know this is the new age of the internet where everyone is edgey and everything is a meme but someone please just put me out of my misery. I just want to share a passion with some peers and enjoy the past, present and future of the club.

We've always had a share of weirdos and dimwits, but the current crop some of them are too dim to be real, it's clearly trolling and often not very good trolling.
Surely if you wanna wind people up you blend into the background a bit, be agreeable then every so often chuck out a hand grenade. These noobs are just straight in with the endless negativity and therefore have no credibility at all. |  |

As a newbie I have noticed that sometimes fair comments are taken out of context, probably because of the text format and how people read it in their heads, which leads to spats that otherwise could be avoided. I have had a few digs at me, one for starting a topic about ex-youth team players to come back and play for the first team which got a fair bit of p1ss taking, the other night because I pointed out that Williams Ipswich debut has probably been the worse/harshest introduction of any player I can recall, that wasn't me saying he was a bad signing, just pointing out that fact and the other day I was torn a new one for saying that McKenna, like all managers, had hit/miss signings and apparently that is incorrect and everyone he signed has been fantastic if it wasn't for x or y reason.
I also keep being accused of being a Norwich supporter, in threads where I am just commenting fairly casual stuff as well, which is frankly stupid. You only have to see my posts/topics, how many Norwich supporters would know some of that detail? Whether you agree with me or not, baseless accusations like that should be stamped out unless they can be proven as it is just unfair. Disagree with me, fine, but don't make lies up! |  | | |
