The penalty overturn looked right on replay, good use of VAR. but the ‘goal’ is just a nonsense. Oh Arsenal have won it.

At a canter now too with a stadium ban incoming for one guy with an unconvincing pitch invasion.

That was a feeble attempt wasn’t it?! Could see the steward in the background getting ready to pounce and have his moment.

From the aerial shots, looked to be a good number of Arsenal fans who left early. Lol.

Love to see Utd lose in any fashion.

We have no village green, or a shop. It's very, very quiet. I can walk to the pub.

Referees have to manage the game in the spirit of the laws, otherwise there would be no players left on the pitch. However, with offside 1mm that has no real advantage is chalked off. Hard for fans to celebrate now, don’t really see a way out.

Overall I don’t like VAR. Think it should be use for ball over the line or serious foul play. Then just use it on a challenge systems, 2 per game or something (like the NFL).

An ITFC fan ran on the pitch at FT at Reading the other night, made it all the way to the other end of the pitch tbf and gave Chaplin a hug, but not really worth it is it

I did a fair few pitch invasions back in the day. You'd just run back into the stand or even helped back in by a copper/steward. But now, like you say, it's instant ban and just not worth it and even if you do it, it needs to be a real life/season changing moment to go through the bother and consequences.

Any offside called by centimetres on a freeze frame is a fake reality because the foot kicking the ball is in contact with the ball for several milliseconds.

We may have had an offside disagreement in the other thread, but its a hard agree from me here!

Its a penalty all day long, the contact with AWB knee while running at speed is enough for him to be tripped. To call it a clear and obvious error by the official is also ridiculous.

100%

In an ideal world I'd identify all persistent early leavers and take their STs off them. We have enough wanting tickets to be able to ditch those who think beating the traffic is more important than supporting your team.

3 strikes and your out, for good. Can do without these part timers.

Bang on - clear as day penalty - he was though on goal and they never got near the ball - only him. Bizarre decision. The offside was correct though.

As we've seen before, clear and obvious doesn't and shouldn't really mean anything. If they believe it's not a foul, then they should reverse the decision. He wasn't exactly running at full speed was he? Went down easy.

Obviously in an ideal world VAR would be scrapped anyway because it's ruined the sport, but unfortunately it's here to stay now.
