In a world where people are literally being blown up every day, how on earth does a tin can rolling down a bonnet constitute national news? Even putting it in a football context, it’s so incredibly tame!

It's not on the front of mine - are you sure you're not complaining about your own tailored/personalised view based on what you look at?

Yeah. I saw that too.
Fair enough it would get picked up on local news, but national?
Must be a slow news day.

Distortion becomes somehow pure in its wildness.

It’s on mine, a bit down the page.

It’s a story that paints football fans in a bad light, so of course it’ll be up there.

Ah okay. In that case the OP is rather misleading as it's not on the front page as a news story but as a link to a video clip that happens to have been popular. Chalk this up as nothing to see here really.

It's not on there as a news story. There's a link to a video in their most watched videos which takes you to a clip in the local news section. Weird thing to start a thread about.

I can't believe that someone who once started a thread complaining about how lefties are horrible because they insist on telling people that racism/people drowning in the channel/transphobia/oopen government corruption is bad would indulge in a bit of the old misrepresentation.

It really is a non story. Especially with all that’s going on in the world and it’s buried away in the local section. As for ‘most watched’ in at number six is Delia complaining about moaning fans. Says it all really.

So a few bellends threw an empty beer can or two. They shouldn’t have done it and if caught on camera should be held accountable for their actions. Neither should the idiot of a driver have followed the bus given they must have known what was happening before the game or seen something was going on a long way before getting involved. It was hardly 10 mins before kick off.

It was the actions of a few idiots out of 1000s there to see their team. Not something to work up a sweat over. I’ve no doubt the mob up the road will elevate it to the most violent attack since Hannibal defeated the Romans at Cannae in 216BC. Let them get on with it.

Think we need a bit more of it on here at the moment. Not really sure why, but in the last couple of days there's been a lot of unnecessary baiting and winding-up. Perhaps we could have a truce from all the various factions, if for no one else for me. I've got better things to do than answer PMs regarding posters' snarks at one another.

Good job you weren't shamelessly gloating in the 'goodbye forever' pulled thread here, or you saying this might look a little 'off' innit.

Someone, well past midnight on a now deleted thread, actually dragged up a comment I'd made about 15 years ago re a good experience I'd had, to mock it.

The clip ain't on my BBC news front page at all either - just Iceland volcano, China quake, Red Sea attacks, Esther Rantzen re assisted suicide, gender fluidity for school pupils plus numerous others.

The clip is second under "most watched videos" though.
