OK, so fan is probably overstating it, but I don't mind January.
Gets a bit lighter every day, signs of renewal in the garden as bulbs pop their heads up and buds form on trees, and I quite like properly crisp and cold days.
Happy (ish) days!
I was born underwater, I dried out in the sun.
I started humping volcanoes baby, when I was too young.
I’m a fan of Jan’, as it means Christmas is over, a period I don’t like, forced socialising with family who you have nowt in common with, the utter let down of New Year’s Eve, the pressure of present buying, the same conversation every year that we should go away and let someone else take the strain, yet we never have. So lovely January is a time of peace and goodwill. Until July. When the whole sorry saga of planning the who, where , and what’s for the next Christmas begins. Converting the Judaism has been mentioned.

Completely agree. Much better than November and December - November being the absolute worst month of the year, just after the clocks go back - dark at 3pm, barely light before 8am.
December's only redeeming feature is Christmas!
I have a November birthday.
I'm 48 years old, and it still pisses me off even after all these years.

Simple, just move it to a better month.
From experience there will be a lot of resistance to this from other people who cannot grasp the concept of fluid birthdays and you may end up celebrating on your own.
Sadly when you get to my age you feel lucky just getting up in the morning whatever time of year. I don't like it too cold and I certainly don't like it too hot either. I may be completely wrong, but when I was young in the 60's we had snow drifts in winter, sometimes we couldn't get to school (great) and in summer I'd go onto the local football field with my mates, lay on the grass just looking up at the sky, watching the odd cloud pass by whilst listening to radio Caroline. Sometimes we have a kick about and in the evenings pick a couple of sides and play a cricket match.

Once I get past the depression of Christmas being over, it's always nice to get some winter sports in during January. One of the benefits of living up here.
Of the two though, I prefer February. For the reasons you've given.
