Obviously there’s Ipswich in Suffolk and I did know that that there an Ipswich in Queensland and in Massachusetts. But I don’t know about the one in Jamaica or in South Dakota.

I visited the one in Massachusetts by accident in 1986.
The mansion/house used in the Witches of Eastwick film is part of the Crane Hall estate next to the town of Ipswich. Done some work there for their national trust. |  |

A large chunk of Boston actually is in Suffolk County, but obviously the city has sort of swallowed it up.
Also amusingly, it is bordered by Essex and Norfolk still, but they somehow conspired to put them the wrong way round, so Essex is to the North and Norfolk is to the South! |  | | |

New England has shed loads of places with similar name places - go to Boston and you'll see signs for Braintree, Cambridge, Ipswich - sure there's loads more.
And like you say, Aus has plenty of UK named places - had a beer in Newcastle north of Sydney.
Then you can go the other way - Melbourne in Derbyshire is a tad smaller than it's namesake in Aus. |  |

I went on a date with an American from that part of the world and she was saying Ipswich over there is quite pretty but was run by the mob for while, she was saying it had cleaned up it's image again and was on the way up

Visited Ipswich, Massachusetts in about 1987ish.
Most bizarre experience, I was in a shop in the town and mentioned that I supported Ipswich Town - cue much excitement, the storekeeper called the local paper who came to take a picture of me. I can only assume that they thought by 'supporting' I was in some way involved with the club.
