Remember when we sold him (into the Championship), and got Harper, and a few on here were proclaiming how it was amazing business?
2 and a half years later and Andre is still playing regularly in the Championship, and Harper is struggling to get into a struggling league one team - saw him come on and look pretty lost for Burton the other day.
Not sure what point I'm trying to make, other than perhaps that there was a really irrational hatred towards Andre from a slightly odd section of our fanbase. |
We could sign a 16 year old from the Bulgarian third division reserves and there would be plenty on here claiming to have been watching him since he was 2 and how he's the next Ronaldo.
Plus many on here didn't rate him that highly, including me to be honest. I wish him well though. |  |

Well quite, having seen the improvements in players like Burgess and Ladapo under McKenna, it's quite ludicrous not to consider that he could have done wiht Downes and Dozzell.
FWIW, Andre was one of the few players who did improve under Lambert, playing deeper and having to be better at the off the ball stuff rather than just relying on his use of the ball. |

Bloody awful player. Utterly hopeless and that's been the case for years. Did nothing for us and now QPR fans are extremely hoping with him leaving.
How on earth did Ashton generate a fee for him?
One of those who had relegated us without a fight and subsequently carried a cosy life in League One. Openly admitted after leaving us that Ipswich had been his 'comfortable zone'. That tells a lot about the players we used to have at that time.
Lack of effort is one of his main traits.
Obviously there are some people on here who will be cuddling him throughout his entire career. His fan-club on here always loyal to him but have a look at that thread on LFW. Already 8 pages and there is genuine delight among QPR fans that he is leaving them.

But does he know more than the current QPR manager? Probably, but he’s clearly not rated if they are loaning him to a relegation rival. My money is on Mowbray as he’s about the best manager AD will have had. |

I just think with Andre, He did the things the manager wanted him to do, but to those watching he was just on the pitch, out there, floating around occasionally passing, tugging shirts giving freekicks away.
But he also has a wand of a foot on occasions as shown by some of the assists he has had over the seasons. I'll be interested to see where Mowbray plays him, i've always felt he needed to be higher up the pitch. |  |

I think he invited more comment because of his dad, but that’s all. Certainly QPR supporters are up to eight pages on him and if you think the comments on here are toxic check out some of the attached. And they couldn’t give a monkeys who his dad was. Just what he did in 100 appearances for them

Personally, I think we got good money for him and he needed to move away from what was a basket case of a club at the time. Shame for him QPR turned in to one. I haven’t watched much of QPR so can’t comment on that but saw plenty of him here. In summary, talented, good control and can pick a pass. Other aspects of his game? Hopefully a good coach like Mowbray will bring the best out in him. I wish him well.
Is he good enough to play for our current team? No, but heck if TM and Mark Venus can work on him, who knows how far he can go. I doubt he can do much better than lower end Championship (still a great achievement) but then I thought Muhren was hopeless after his first appearances and Kieffer Moore had no chance in the professional game.
