It would be interesting to know how much of any fee for Davis would go to Leeds. Quite a bit, I should think.
It's a bit like Steve Bull for Wolves, back in the day. It was never worth their while selling him when good bids came in because quite apart from the fact he was obviously a very good player and a fans' favourite, a lot of the money generated would have had to go to West Brom. Can imagine Davis has been promised a PL move in the summer if a club comes in for him and we don't get promoted. Its pretty nailed on someone bids for him really.
Even if we got the Davis money now I really don't see who the big money striker is to fire us up especially as Davis won't be there for all the assists anyway.
