Venkys & these goings on remind me of a couple I was once in the process of buying a house from - it was like trying to deal with 2 year old toddlers while running across quicksand.
On the morning we were supposed to exchange contracts, they upped the asking price by £70K (yes, that's seventy thousand pounds, not a typo). My solicitor, who'd been practising for 50 years, said he'd never seen anything like it before.
I pulled out altogether, cue increasingly frantic voicemails from them saying they'd go back to the original price, ending with them (well him anyway) screaming abuse down the line at me.
2 weeks later I found a much nicer house, which 10 years later I'm still incredibly happy in. They didn't sell theirs for another 2 years - and according to the agent they'd had everything boxed up ready to move! |  |

Gallagher is plan B and now we are moving on to C, D or even E by all accounts.
