I guess in isolation, seeing a football player in the sauna would be normal, however, naming that person , just having mentioned on a public forum that you recently spotted and named another player 4 times, in his private car, making phone calls, strikes me as very weird , and definitely not normal behaviour for a man of reasonable age.
Try putting yourself in their place for once, if locally you were a well known sportsman, would you like it if someone mentioned seeing you multiple times, and then posted it on a public forum.

I think one of the reasons I started following football for the first time in my 20s was that when I lived in Ipswich in the 1970s, youād see players (many well known stars at that time of course) in town doing ordinary stuff like ordinary people.
Highlighted how much ITFC were part of the community, much more so than big city clubs. |  |
