....any news on Williams?
Is he over his soft tissue injury/illness/whatever yet?
It's been 2 weeks since we heard anything and our cover at full back appears to consist of two central midfielders and/or a centre back.

Don’t think there was a presser, seems it was just an in-house one with TownTV.

With JD on the long term list and Leif and Harry both recently injured it really does leave us short.

"Bit of a shambles" seems a bit excessive. It looks like we could have done a deal for a relatively small fee for Marvin Johnson but decided not to. Either we're that hard up against the FFP limit that we couldn't or McKenna feels Williams will come back soon enough/strong enough that short term cover from the likes of Humphreys will suffice.
For me it seems to be calculated risk rather than the club failing to bring in additional cover. | |
