Agree, bit weird to do it at all when Hey Jude then immediately gets blasted out but I don't understand how you can get it that wrong.
Don't think the club are particularly enamoured with his performance on the mic this season so may well see a different person doing the job next year (wouldn't be surprised if Dave Vant gets a promotion from his fan zone MC job). |

His departure in 86 was the first one that really felt like a punch in the stomach, even though we knew it was coming with relegation and a World Cup putting him in the window.

Do we actually know when the Hey Jude playing started. Feel like it only happened a couple of years ago. My issue has always been it is a song with no connection to us and one that the away fans can join in with as well because everyone has a variation of it, which seems pretty counterintuitive for what it is trying to do.
I know it isn't everyone's cup of tea but surely EEJB is the better option with everyone belting out "everybody calls me Ted" at the end. At least its unique. | |

I'm not one for personal criticism but I offer the following constructive feedback:
Editorialising on the half time scores as he did on Tuesday night ("interesting score in the last game on the screen there" or words to that effect) is not welcome whether it's one of our rivals at the top or Norwich. Stop telling us what to think.
When reading out the teams, try to coincide the announcing of a player's name with their appearance on the big screen.

I think he enjoys a wind up/lads talk but behind that takes his football very seriously. You don’t get over 70 caps and achieve what he did purely from being in the boozer.
I like him but agree that more football insight and less pub and door booting anecdotes would be better.
As for Mark Murphy, yes I do find him irritating on LaP. Obviously he knows how to interview people and keep a programme on schedule but it’s the ‘capacity crowd’ Norwich boo etc stuff I find annoying. In the ground? If I was responsible for that sort of thing I’d replace him. |  | | |
