Do we actually know when the Hey Jude playing started. Feel like it only happened a couple of years ago. My issue has always been it is a song with no connection to us and one that the away fans can join in with as well because everyone has a variation of it, which seems pretty counterintuitive for what it is trying to do.
I know it isn't everyone's cup of tea but surely EEJB is the better option with everyone belting out "everybody calls me Ted" at the end. At least its unique. |

This thread is a bit harsh on Mark Murphy, IMO.
The big screen is too slow for reading out a team, not the other way around. It just feels wrong reading out the team at the pace they come on the screen. I can completely understand why stadium announcers out pace it. The fella that stepped in for MM was waaaaayy ahead of the screen, but he didn't get any stick for it that I saw.
The Norwich stuff when we have drawn or lost is a legitimate criticism. Most of us couldn't give a f**k.
The "Blue Army" pre kick off is trying to get the crowd going, and to be fair it worked with the fans around me today. I would prefer him to try things like that and fail, than not try at all.
