Thought Norwich played really well today 15:00 - Apr 6 with 4973 views | keighleyblue | Credit where credit is due, tactically they were spot on, gave us no space and stopped us playing all over the pitch. I doubt they will play that well again all season. They should have won by more and I thought it was a penalty when Morsy brought their man down. Ah well, onto the next. I still think we will go up.
Thought Norwich played really well today on 15:04 - Apr 6 with 4165 views | gainsboroughblue | They are a good side imo. Detesting them with every fibre of my being doesn't stop me being objective. They have a hell of a chance to go up, as still, we do. Trying not to be too despondent about it, look at the bigger picture and I love our guys so much for what they've given us, but surely they'll think they left something out on that pitch today.

Thought Norwich played really well today on 15:05 - Apr 6 with 4140 views | bournemouthblue | I think a lot of poor decisions went Norwich's way, building the momentum for those free kicks up until the fatal blow The Morsy foul on Sargeant was the first poor decision to go our way really [Post edited 6 Apr 2024 15:16]

Thought Norwich played really well today on 15:05 - Apr 6 with 4144 views | Illinoisblue | We were thoroughly outplayed. They were sharper than us and quicker than us to loose balls. And our passing was atrocious, never seen us give the ball away so much, so needlessly. A collective 4/10 team display. Subs livened up a bit bit Gunn will never have an easier day in his entire career.

Thought Norwich played really well today on 15:13 - Apr 6 with 4027 views | Nthsuffolkblue | I agree with your first sentence. I suspect they have done that to a lot of teams so whether that was especially good for them or not, I can't comment. It wasn't pretty to watch, though. The most excitement (aside from the goal) the home fans had was throwing balls on the pitch to stop play repeatedly. I can't recall Morsy bringing anyone down in the area. Sergeant fouled him outside the area and the ref did well to see it as a "coming together" but on the replay you could see Sergeant look, stop and move into Morsy. If they could have shot on target, they could have had a couple of goals but then Chaplin did the same. Hutchinson should have had a penalty. Just need Coventry to do the job to stay in the top two today ... 1-0 early on.

No way was it a foul if you were watching on TV. Sargean throws his leg out in front of Morsy. It's a miracle that ref saw it mind.

They totally stopped Broadhead and Chaplin really, Broadhead in particular had a shocker Sarmiento came on and did make a difference, I felt we looked far better running forward with Al-Hamadi making runs, boy did we miss Burns today though on the break

Would have been a shocking decision to give a penalty since it was outside the area too!

If you mean the one on the edge of the box, that was the first good piece of decision making all game. Blatant simulation. Spoiled a good decision by not showing a card though. [Post edited 6 Apr 2024 15:20]

Chappers and Broady both had days to forget. Both anonymous. Add in Luonog being off it and Axel whacking the ball out of play multiple times and we have a problem. Burgess maybe only player who played okay.

Yeah, Sargent tried to con the ref. Even Don Goodman called it. He was a cheaty little sh!t for most of the game.

Luongo's been off it for a while. Travis or Taylor need to come in for him on Wednesday.

Thought Norwich played really well today on 15:22 - Apr 6 with 3782 views | Trequartista | That's the best defensive display i've seen against us apart from maybe West Brom away. Sargent held his leg back for Morsy to collide with. I only saw that on 4th viewing. The referee either made a brilliant decision or guessed and got lucky.

I think Goodman suggesting it was good decision, led to my skepticism lol

Hull and Coventry are equally problematic, I don't see Watford being straightforward either Middlesbrough are very unpredictable too It's the Championship, who knows what is likely to happen though

Agree. We have recently been reminded about how tenacious/aggressive Taylor can be and has that killer long range shot in the locker.

It was excellent defending from the front for a lot of the game. They pressed well all over the pitch, hunted in packs and showed the desire to pick up the second balls. Sat back a bit after the 3/4 mark, but controlled things pretty well even doing that. I hate to admit it, but I agree with that twunk Chris Sutton* - they controlled the game fairly comfortably. I never felt like we were going to score. As Gav said in another thread, we never built up any momentum. We improved, but that's not the same thing. *Although Chambo could have stuck up for us a bit more!

And by not actually giving us the free kick. There were a few he simply waved play on instead giving the free kick to us. Easily could have carded Sergeant and Barnes for simulation several times over. The other poor thing was how he often gave advantage for fouls by them but never called it back when we didn't keep the ball or gave the advantage when we were in defence and under pressure (that Sergeant foul a prime example).

I thought we were in control and starting to build momentum first half until the shocker of a decision against Tuanzebe. That woke their fans up and they then won a series of set pieces that ultimately led to their goal. After that they tried to shut the game down and play on the break and largely did so successfully, although last 20 minutes we had a few chances you'd expect us to do better with. Even on an off day they scraped a 1-0 from a keeping error, let's not talk them up too much.

No games are easy but nodge have just won 10 and drawn 1 of their last 11 home league games. No one is going to be as tough as that. Brum at home are currently giving Leicester a game.

Like you, glad it’s over. Games v them are ones I always discount in my mind when considering possible points tallies, because they’re outliers that are always liable to kick you in the tits/nuts. Bare facts are that it’s 3 points lost, same as for any other defeat. Players and fans are all drained. Group hug and move on.
