Bus Parade Live on Sky Youtube on 13:20 - May 6 by Guthrum
Surprised they don't have their own dedicated uplink for the outside broadcast.
They're using Dejero which normally allows them to use uplinks from several sources and networks and use whichever one has the best signal, I'd say all the networks are overloaded. and they don't have a portable dish (which are used less and less these days)
Whilst the bus sat outside "Canes" (IYKYK) I found myself wishing I'd stayed in Ipswich one more night as I looked at the blinds in my oldest male offspring's living room thru the medium of Sky's YouTube stream. It was almost dead level with the top deck of the bus, and knowing he's down on the street there (says the vibe is good).
Love it, I promise to be there next season for the parade....

Doesn't quite live up to what it says on its website.
Connectivity you can count on
Dejero aggregates multiple wireless connections into a single service for uninterrupted live broadcasts from remote locations.

Live it - the Sky guy, while waiting for the Wolfy interview said i back to the studio "Can you make sure that 'Leeds Are Falling Apart' bit doesn't go out?"
Of course, it did, because it was all live!

Not to be a damp squib, but I'd rather the Leeds song was given a miss altogether.

Unfortunately masts only have so much capacity, once they are overwhelmed, there's nothing any equipment can do about it.
The masts in the area are likely to have never seen so much demand for data (because a lot of the area is parkland) at once and probably never will again, which is why the signal fell over the moment it got there.
