Calling them all bigots to try and make the latter group feel bad is just tactic #1 in the authoritarian left playbook and we can now all see right through it. |  |

I haven't got any problem with the people attending these events. If someone invited me to support them, I would be 100% comfortable going along.

Isn’t not subscribing to the rights of gay people to label themselves as gay a bit on dodgy ground? Just to re-visit a popular board topic, wouldn’t not subscribing to the right of Jewish people to identify as Jewish be considered antisemitic, for example?

I agree, it would be extremely dodgy to deny people the right to identify their own sexuality or race. However, I really can't see how you would interpret what I said to mean that though.
I should be clear what i do mean though.
I'm talking about people who are being called bigots just because they don't insist on defining or grouping people by their sexuality or race, and instead rate by people by their individual attributes. By sloganeering i'm referring to, for example, big corporations that are going to be putting a rainbow on anything and proclaiming the virtues of inclusivity etc. These are corportations - they are motivated by profit - they are doing this purely because they want virtue associated with their brand. | |
