I can’t recall many to be honest. Hungary just before Euro ‘96 as I was there, won 3-0 IIRC.
Can’t blame the players but none of them want to pick up a knock, going through the motions somewhat. Excited for the Euros though, not the same as a World Cup but I love watching England in an international tournament. | | | |

There was a great pre WC tournament back in 1997 that got a lot of interest. I did get quite excited for that because it featured three of the best teams int he world - Frace, Italy, and Brazil. Also memorable for THAT Roberto Carlos banana kick!

I think it's compounded by the fact there's only 1 or 2 starting the game who will be nailed on starters in Germany. It would have been interesting if we looked to try different things (formations / patterns of play) with a number of the first team players. | | | |

Same, although may have been different if they weren’t Sunday 20:00, Thursday 17:00 and Tuesday 20:00 - always used to book days off for them but different priorities these days. | |
