Where have you seen that? If that's the level of our recruitment, then we really are not here to make up the numbers.

Would be an incredible statement, linked with West Ham and Arsenal earlier on this year. Still young, on the back of a superb season and most importantly, Dutch.

I do hope we’re not being too ambitious and end up missing out again.

Like I said about the Greek chap earlier, we surely must be getting indications from agents that these type of players are willing to join us, otherwise we're just wasting everyone's time?

I seem to remember Brentford were looking at him as a potential replacement for Toney but balked at the price at the time.

Can’t see anything linking him to us other than the original post so presumably just another rumour out there. Would be good to have a Dutch player again though.

Sales pitch:

"Are you a hungry, talented and promising young player who wants to come and play in the English Premier League under an extraordinary manager, at a club with massive momentum, with a raucous and enthusiastic set of fans and in a positive and dynamic environment where you won't be shunted to the background in a bloated squad?"

"If the answers are 'yes', join Ipswich Town."

Hardly balked,

Went and spent 10 mill more than they were quoted for Thijs Dallinga on Igor Thiago from Brugge.
Nothing to do with the fee Toulouse are demanding more just a preference for Brentford.

The danger is we are being used to move transfers on to other clubs by being encouraged to have an interest when there is no chance of us getting a deal done ourselves.

Not saying that it is or has happened but it’s a possibility we need to be aware of.

We will have a big ol' list of targets and I'd rather we go for the ambitious ones near the top first and then move on to others than to not try and get them at all.

I think we, like almost every other club, will be on both sides of that dynamic. We're an attractive proposition for exactly the sort of players we will be going after.

Indeed, obviously there may not even be anything in it. My mind has gone blank on who, but remember a little sense last season of feeling that we began the summer aiming a little too high, Auston Trusty is one I do recall.

I do hope we are utilising the foreign market, especially on strikers, that’s one position I really struggle to think of good potentials in England.

Will be exciting nonetheless.

I can't work you out.

The effort you put in to your posting style makes me feel like you either
a) truly hate the club and everything about it
b) think you're being funny - i'll be honest, I'm not seeing this one if you are, maybe a reflection on me, who knows?

btw If there is ever a mass shooting somewhere in EA, you're going to be my first suspect. Weirdo.

This is his first post I think i've stopped to actually think about, rather than just assume he's trolling.

Standards falling, or subtle adjustment. I can't tell.

Have no idea whether the agents are ‘grasping’ or not, though that is sort of their job, but neither player could really be described as ‘iffy’. They’re both internationals so hardly ‘iffy’ by any measure.

Better to stay silent and be thought a fool than open your mouth and remove all doubt

Seriously. 15 down votes. Why do you even bother engaging? Attention-seeking budgies are not worth a response.

Yes, I realise the irony, but it just annoys me that people even give this poster the time of day. It's what he wants. Like every sad, lonely Norwich fan on an ITFC forum.

Edit: Happy to be whooshed if this is one of you lot.

Maybe lighten up a little. Just a post on an internet forum. Nothing to get to wound up about. He can be quite funny sometimes. (not often, but sometimes)

Aren't comedy creations supposed to be funny? Or at least entertaining?
