He did. At the final whistle Alan Shearer went up to him and told him that he’ll never have a game like that again. He did, but he should have had a lot more.
Hadn't Shearer said something foolish in the weeks prior to the game, like 'there's no such thing as an easy game, except maybe Ipswich"?

I remember that Craig Forest made a great save against Wolves in the FA Cup. It was many years ago so it might well not have been that good.
The best goalkeeping display that I’ve seen in the flesh was Richard Wright against West Brom. Think he saved a couple one-on-ones with Lee Hughes and also made a few good save.
Is that the one where he dived like a salmon to claw away a header(I think). That one sticks in my head.
Wrighty’s performance away at Blackburn in the cup replay stands out for me
While i say wright from point blank range against hristov at wembley, that penalty save just before half time in the same game was equally significant as it would have been so deflating to be trailing at half time

The Forrest one was that good, Andy Thompson's header going right into the top corner. I thought Craig would get there but not keep it out but he did at full stretch, just.
That's my top one I think.
Also a Wright double save, from a penalty and the rebound, versus Stockport in December 1999 was excellent. As were two at Stockport in the rain a year earlier.
