Richarlison available 19:53 - Aug 8 with 2994 viewsstiff_talking

Richarlison 38m switch to Saudi is cancelled. Wonder if Ipswich would consider him as potential target? His style of play would fit in with Ipswich plans. His weekly wages could be a stumbling block. However, not many other Premiership clubs would be competition.

Not sure the value gained is equal to the financial outlay. Also from what I've seen tends to fall over at the slightest breeze and not sure his temperament would be a good fit.

I've just googled his stats, & for the PL season just ended, he scored 11, which surprised me, I didn't realise he'd scored that many
But he joined Spurs in 2022 & his total goals for Spurs is 12

I don't think he's good enough

I'd prefer Danny Ings

Exactly the kind of signing we won’t make. 1 wages too high. 2 isn’t that good. 3 wouldn’t come here thankfully anyway.

His goal average for Brazil/Everton and Spurs is 1 goal every 3 games in top flight.
He works his socks off whenever he plays. He is good with his back to goal which means he could play 9 or 10. We could get him for the same money as we are willing to spend on Sammy and Greek forward. I think he would be an upgrade on those signings with a lower risk. He can be a big head but thrived at Everton. He is our man! With Klug and McKenna connections with Spurs we need to think bigger here !

Yes, I've just googled his stats & he's worse than Richarlison!

My thinking was an out & out finisher with PL experience who we could perhaps have on loan & give licence just to operate between the posts
(rather than more specifically to fit our system)

Richarlison weekly wages are less than Reiss Nelson who I saw play twice in USA in July
and was unimpressed with him. And Arsenal want 40m for him !

Danny Ings? That would be an interesting one. If we can get him, would add the experience needed up front. It's a yes from me.

There are strikers I would prefer to Richarlison. Danny Ings is not one of them.

Latte Lath at Boro would be my first choice.

Question his temperament by all means but he's far better than anyone on our books at the moment so let's get over the "he's not good enough" line in terms of talent. Whether he has the right mentality to be a McKenna player can be rightfully questioned.

Forgetting his transfer fee is probably double what we could pay and his wages are 6x what we can pay - he has a huge ego! He's Brazil's no. 9 he probably only sees him leaving Spurs for a club that will be competing to win the Champions League - and that's not us, well not yet!! ;-)

Think he's decent, but 38 m, maybe 25 m would be a good buy.

Not sure what’s more ridiculous in this thread, the OP thinking this is in any way a realistic signing or those that think he isn’t good enough…!
