what's a dry loan - only available when it's not raining?

Love a simple loan.

Not getting any hopes up. Supposedly failed the medical at Brentford, so always the possibility of that happening again..

To note on the dry loan. I believe that means just a simple loan, i.e no obligations to buy ect.

Never ever seen the guy play.

But he is a midfielder and he is tall. So that works.

No, it was a paperwork issue which caused the deal with Brentford to collapse.

I think if Brentford wanted him, it's a good barometer. They play a physical, aggressive style like us, so I think he'll be a really good fit as competition for Luongo.

The issue was it didn’t say ‘Ipswich Town’ when he went to sign I heard.

Not sure why his move to Brentford fell through..... on 14:03 - Aug 14 with 5156 viewsBloots

....theories range from he failed the medical to Napoli changed the terms at the last minute.

I've even seen mention that his agent(s) was a Mafiosi.

Sounds ideal!

I'm only getting it from this guys website..
https://gianlucadimarzio.com/i

After failing a medical with Brentford, the midfielder could still end up playing in the Premier League.

MA will be looking at a double deal to secure both player and a plentiful supply of coogun oil from those in the south of the country.

No, you're right, I hadn't seen Di Marzio was claiming that. Hmm, that's a strange one.

Weren't they looking to loan and buy, perhaps there was something that came up they didn't want to invest in, maybe a slight knee issue but not one that's a short term issue but something that in future may be an issue.

Be a shame if there’s no option / obligation to buy, given it was reported Brentford had one agreed at less than €12M.

Can only tell so much from videos, but looks to have a bit of physicality and technical ability on the ball. Hope it gets done.

I wonder if Frimmers is right and there may be something underlying which may not be a concern in the short term, but could be a risk long term, hence the Brentford deal fell through but we're happier with a simple loan.

Could be various things really looking over a few past medical situations like this

The heart being a big one, which we've seen over recent years being a problem for a fair few players, short term it might not be a problem but as an investment it might not work.

But also, there was a player who had a slight knee injury, the first club didn't like it and he failed the medical, the next club requested the knee to be removed from the clubs insurance and signed him..

Can't see how removing the knee would get the best out of him.

Really good player - saw him at Stade de Reims under Will Still.

Perfect blend of competitive steel and technique.

Would be a really good signing, and a strong partner for Morsy.

More likely whatever the issue is is considered less of a risk if you're not paying £10 million for him! Medicals are largely about risk.
