but I've just eaten about a kilo of liver and drunk a few glasses of plonk - and I think it's never a bad time to play this sort of thing.

Edit - I watched that live. Dion Dublin was on the Sky panel thing and he was absolutely dumbstruck.

I’m not sure whether I’m more horrified by the organ consumption or the pic of the old Sherry lover.

I too have had far too good a day but jeez, how did you arrive at beer can drunken Delia?

I'm staying across the border at work for a few days.

I had a feel for liver so I got cooking baby.

I’ve had a few glasses of vino as well. The Mrs dragged me over to the Fringe in Edinburgh to see some woman poet recite verses about vulvas, beef curtains and blow jobs. She had to wake me up twice.

Liver and bacon, or fried with onoins? Always had a preference for the latter, a childhood staple.

Edit, just seen your photo. Looks excellent.

Thanks.

You will notice I added some sausages for texture.

I wouldn't normally do this but I didn't have any flour to coat the liver with so I think I needed the sausages to go give it a bit of bite.

Are you with me?

Sausages with the liver is a brilliant idea. Can I suggest the onions are a little over done?

Personally, in this instance, no. I think they are spot on to be honest.

There is a case for a non burnt onion but in that instance I think it would have to be a sloppy mix with a lot of oil - and very tasty it would be, but I preferred a bit of crunch this evening.

Good shout.
Sloppy with a plenty of oil is more my thing with liver, but a good crunch to an onion is also a thing of beauty.

So long as you get some of that sweet caramelisation going.

I was in The Murderers the other month, the landlord is totally bonkers, after a little chat about The Porter they had on offer we got to talking about town.
A well to do couple came in stood there and I think the landlord forgot who he was serving and just belted out ‘up the super blues’ they both looked at each other as much to say what is this place 😂

Me and the Mrs went up to Edinburgh last week.
Friends took us to see a Scottish comedian, I was impressed with his energy.
Couldn’t understand a word and had to get up and leave because I needed a leak.
Didn’t bother to go back in but spoke to him afterwards.
I think he struggled with my Ipswich accent as well!

If you are in Nodge again at any time, send me a PM in case I am up here and we can have a beer or two.

I'm not overly keen on The Murderers. I like The Ribs of Beef, although it's a bit outside the centre.

The Wildman is a good pub as well.
