If it's Premier League led and every team has to do it, then it's sickening but we have to do it.

If it's our own choice, I wish we were better than this.

Life isn't that simple unfortunately. It's helping to fund those very expensive new signings & a new pitch etc. - would you rather we didn't have those? (**Edit - I see it's a PL thing, apols).

I also couldn't help thinking last night about terrible the stuff going on around the world - Middle E, Sudan, Ukraine etc., & here we all are lasered in on ITFC. Yes we deserve our good times, & can't do anything about wars in other places, but it still struck me as one helluva contrast. Literally, for those living in those places.

Sorry, rant over.

I hope so. If we've gone after it as a club, then I would like to think we are/should be better than that and would definitely write to them about it. We are a unique club and don't need to get involved with this nonsense.

If it is a choice between taking money from fraudulent betting companies and spending less on transfers and wages, then yes, I'd rather spend a bit less.

But if this is a sponsor forced onto us by the league, then that's sad but what can we do?

Not denying that many of these companies are dodgy. Unfortunately having a dodgy foreign betting sponsor is part of the game at the moment. That's where the money is.

Truly impaired.

If it's an ITFC decision, rather than being forced upon the club by the PL, can the deal even be worth all that much - a partnership in return for a fairly small presence alongside Birketts et al?

Or is it one of those things that might come at a premium, on the basis that the company needs this sort of exposure in order to circumvent local betting laws?

You ain't a beauty but, hey, you're alright.

That attitude is how you have Newcastle fans casually shrugging when it’s pointed out their owners behead people.

I am sorry but we need to do better.

Firstly, gambling as a sponsor is just wrong. The amount of men and women afflicted with a gambling issue is increase ever more - the amount of people topping themselves over is such a massive issue. It destroys families.

Yet here we are, back in the big time for not even a minute and straight onboard with the dodgy gambling firms.

It's just so wrong and what a pooy message to send out to our fans.

EDIT - and no I don't care if this gives us flexibility with FPP or PSR or whoever cares. This is too close to home.

I echo your sentiments 100%.

It really rams home how lucky we are to have Ed sponsoring the shirts. But for him they would, no doubt, have some shady Asian betting firm plastered on the front.

I'm a little surprised that we've not gone with a back-of-shirt sponsor yet. I can quite see that piece of prime real estate being offered to some shady firm in the next few months.
