Jamie Carragher said that we'll do well because the Club / fans won't panic and the atmosphere will stay if we lose 5 in a row.

I'm genuinely interested in it as a HYPOTHETICAL question to pose, as I'm honestly not sure there's even a realistic possibility of this happening...

Would the Club / fans ever turn on McKenna if the worst kept happening?! How many games in a row would we have to lose for you to be calling for change?

Poll: So, how many league wins did you see in person?

He's never lost two games in a row. So the first time he does, I'm out.

There’s many on here who combust if we go 1-0 down so I’m thinking 5 losses in a row would be catastrophic.

My expectation this season is survival, so I would stick with McKenna no matter what. He'll work it out.

We’ve seen enough in that first game to show KM know what he’s doing at this level. It’s now down to the individual quality of the players, how they knit as a squad and how much the coaching staff improve them as to how we do…

Anyone calling for KM this season should be given all the pelters they deserve.

The club won’t but there will be supporters that turn on him and they’ll be noisy but in a minority. We saw it when wins dropped off for a period in League One Dec-Feb.

But the majority know the scale of the achievement and the challenge. They also know what the club is trying to do so will be supportive, regardless of results. I know I will.

When wins dropped off in League One he didn't have many/any credits in the bank.

He's secured back to back promotions - frankly we could lose 20 in a row and it would be a cold day in hell before I turned on him.

By the middle of October Liverpool and Man City will be glad they got us out of the way early.

Whoever we lose that 5th game to, I'm just going to start supporting that club instead.

Woah hang on. Massive difference

This is prem, where there is 0 expectation other than 'hope' to stay up. If we do great, if we don't then it proves how massive the gap is between the leagues if KM and his signings still don't manage it

League 1 however was a different ball game, we had a very strong squad and whilst I amongst others bemoaned the dull period in the winter period, I still can't remember anyone saying KM out, despite claims there were. It was simply bemoaning a drop in performance during the season.

'When wins dropped off in League One he didn't have many/any credits in the bank.'

Perfect explanation tbh, we kept seeing trust KM, but there wasn't anything to trust him with.

Now however, he's shown what he can do, so he can lose everygame for all i care, 1 he most likely won't leave at the end of season with that performance. however he'd certainly take this team up again with this squad.

Just to be clear though, anyone who was questioning McKenna during that period was still mental.

Not really, easy to say now, but it easily could have gone the other way and we could sit here saying anyone backing him was mental. We've seen that with previous managers.

Thankfully though, Km knows exactly what we need.

Agreed. If we lose on Saturday then I’ll drive him down to Brighton myself. Enjoying living with seagulls, you fraud.

That wouldn’t be such a bad outcome!

Then again, look at what happened to Kompany!

Some pretty prominent posters on here turned on him because he spoke to Brighton/Man UTD.

If we lose against Citeh and Fulham then I would expect some of our dumber supporters to turn on him and they will say that, because he was chased by other clubs, this proves his disloyalty and he is using us as a stepping stone to a bigger job. There are 'supporters' who already see him as tarnished because of the Brighton interest.

Sometimes when you are on a losing run you can tell the manager is learning nothing and will do the same the week after.

With McKenna you feel like he learns from every setback and he will tweak something. A couple of wins can get you right out of trouble in this league. I have every faith that if we lose the first five he would find a few things to tweak to see us win a couple of the next five.

Truly impaired.

It’s all hypothetical as Town are yet to get a point and Town’s revolving recruitment door is twirling ever more bizarrely

BUT if Town are in the relegation frame at Xmas with a bunch of strangers struggling to integrate I’d suggest the fickle Town supporters are the least of McKenna’s worries because Brinsley Schwarz will be looking at his spreadsheet and drumming his fingers on his desk in the Cleveland bunker.

You want him sacked because he is making your lot look ridiculous. (not that you need any help in that department)
