That's a very valid point. Does it mean the draft-excluder is pointless or does it prove it prevents the free-kick taker shooting low along the ground?
I guess a full analysis of free kicks including those without a draft excluder as well as with one is required. We need a thread to place all the data. I wonder where we could do that. |  |

Quite, the free kick taker's options are immediately reduced by, what, fifteen per cent ? It does beg the question, though, why doesn't the wall usually have a little jump (in unison) at the time of the kick to further reduce the taker's options when headroom would be effectively removed for anything other than a lob ? | |

I was going to post 'No, because we would sell him and replace him with Hulk' but then I started thinking about why Man City don't use Haaland as a draught excluder. Perhaps he refuses to do so but I would of thought Guardiola would have insisted upon it whether he wanted to do it or not. I would love to see an on pitch argument between whoever is City's captain and Haaland about doing the draught excluder job and a very grumpy Haaland eventually lying down but making it clear he is not at all happy about it. | |
