Eh?

Some auto correct issues in the match report?!?

Distortion becomes somehow pure in its wildness.

Draught excluder history:

Marcelo Brozovic famously did it against a Suarez free kick in 2018:

This appears to be the earliest YouTube recording of it (Lucio Flavio in Brazil in 2014):

But it seems the earliest reference to it is again from Brazil in 2013:

Should "o crocodilo" having apparently been invented in Brazil be called the "crocodile" in English"?

I guess Brazil has crocodiles but no draughts.
Excluder is the key word here, it sort of says you ain't getting in - as in 'no trainers'.

Don't believe a word I say. I'm only kidding. Or am I?

Along with the Draught Excluder, I think that the wall should hold up a man horizontally above their heads - double high low, unbreakable wall.

Been thinking why Leif was chosen to be our go-to draught excluder.

Could it be that he's actually about 6 inches taller than he looks? Any thoughts?

Surely the Beatles were the inspiration for the Draught Excluder. First used in 1968.

He's not the tallest guy. Makes sense to make him the draught excluder. The tall fellas you want standing up in the wall.

Makes sense.

Was also thinking that Leif may have volunteered for the job. No one covers more ground than Leif during a game and he might be using the 2 or 3 minutes it takes to prepare for a free kick to get a bit of quality rest in.

He was the first part of the "wall" in place during the Villa game so he probably had enough time for a brief power nap.

I like the way that Brozovic makes a last second move to slide down behind the wall as soon as he determines which way the taker is going to play the free kick, nifty. Was it Greaves who went to ground during one of the West Ham attacks in the first half yesterday, and there wasn't even a free kick going on ?

No, that’s the whole point of it, it has a life and energy of its own…. It doesn’t need any help by being pinned.

The Flavio free kick lead-up was a total farce.
