Davis = Draught Excluder??? on 16:24 - Sep 29 by WeWereZombies
It looked like he was there to prevent a left curling ball around the wall, maybe it was that closing off the kick taker's favourite option (no idea if it is) that resulted in the blaze of inglory over the bar.
Also liked Leif's nonchalant pose, leaning on one elbow as if he was discussing favourite films in a coffee shop.
He's a really good draught excluder, faces the keeper to get positioned, turns around to then ensure he is aware of what is going on with the freekick, and then I didn't see if this happened today but am I to assume he then turns again to have his back to it when the free kick is actually taken? I would think there would be a risk of handball if not? Unless you can argue the hands are in a natural position?

OMG.
rkc123 first post on this thread.
The fat lady has sung.
So can we now stop adding to this thread?
Don't believe a word I say. I'm only kidding. Or am I?

"So can we now stop adding to this thread?"
Why would you want to do that? It's a thread for all things draught excluder conveniently contained in a single thread.
That makes no sense. TWTD higher subconscious needs an existential reason for this thread to continue to exist. Of course, if you belong to the part of the lesser id of TWTD then that's OK. We understand.

With winter around the corner I wondered if anyone had any tips for a good draught excluder?
I considered buying a Leif Davis but a) I don't have a £30m budget and b) he would only cover 5% of the gap, with 95% of his body in my kitchen on yesterday's evidence.

Phil, Gav, you know what you need to do now.

Mine looks like a very long pussy cat, draught excluder that is.
I had to get rid of my draught excluder, as it was a dog-shaped draught excluder and my dog kept humping it. I'm glad Leif doesn't have similar unwanted attention on the pitch.

being asked to carry out this particular defensive role, draught excluders may risk getting the hump?

Go out and get some advertising revenue from Homebase and B&Q ?
No, what I was thinking was more of commercial…..oh hang on, phones ringing, I’ll complete my thought later, wouldn’t want to leave you hanging on this.

Is that the washing powder recommended by Vogue Williams?
Well, apart from it not being a powder, it does have me thinking about Paul Cook's getting the team to gel narrative. Was it only ever about the eventual emergence of someone like Leif as peak draught excluder ?

Pedant. But still, the OP was a mistake that needed correcting so I'll allow it.
