Not a striker though, thought we needed a number 9,
Though I'm a big fan of delap now,

Really like him as a player, could definitely play a similar role to Wes on the right. Powerful and athletic with work rate to support the fullback, good pace and seems like a humble character. The like for like player to replace Wes is something we are missing at the moment, especially as Delap is playing upfront - feel he could fill this role albeit in a different style to Wes.

Having said that, another centre forward should be a priority. Maybe Wes' injury is worse than first thought or the frequency of these semi long term injuries means we're looking to get some full time cover in for him?

Lacks end product for me. Watched him a lot at international level. Maybe the team here can change that for him but feel we’d be better strengthened with Broja.

Im not sure we are after him but with broady and burns out, and maybe harness going adding extra options in the 3 behind the striker makes sense.

He's fast, and one thing we look for in a player is pace. Helps with the chaos when chasing the game.

Replacement for Burns. Feel sorry for Wes but if he's out for a while we can't wait around for him.

I guess he wouldn't cost a great deal? So could work as a bench option.

Ultimately he'll be a squad player in the ilk of Harness (would argue he similarly lacks end product at times, improved significantly under McKenna) but players to fill the RW role is something we're lacking. Wes has history of being out for spells with muscle injuries and Johnson isn't good enough going forward for me to fill the role, Delap is playing up top and is a different mould of right sided forward to Wes. Agree main priority is centre forward, but would be a nice to have someone more like for like to fill in.

Toilet thief the only one to have reported this so far. Guess it would mean two outfield players on the agenda before window shuts, rather than turning our attention away from a striker.

Trouble with wes it's been a year of this injury and as the standard gets more intense so will the pressure on his hamstring there no easy fixes to that kind of injury just treatment and time,
He's desperate to play meens rushing back meens reacurance

Would be a great option in the Burns role.

He would work well as a replacement for Wes on that side, but I'd be surprised as we are running out of squad places & definitely need to add another centre forward. Unless the injury to Wes is far worse & longer term than we thought. Perhaps Harness could be on the move then after all.
I would have seen us go for their striker, Adebayo, well before I would have seen us linked with Ogbene.

Would be a surprise but perhaps we can't get another suitable available striker so this is a cheaper option/solution which takes away requirement for Delap to fill Burns hole and and concentrate on CF. Would mean Al Hamadi would stay until at least jan I guess.

Younger version (and upgrade) of Kayden Jackson?

I think we need a proper 9.

He’s very versatile from memory. Has played up front. If he ends up the last signing of the window then perhaps Ali stays?

I’m waiting for Phil to tell us that we had Ogbene on trial in the McCarthy days.

Not sure about this one, Paul Warne said he was "unplayable" when he played for Rotherham, and I've never been convinced about Paul Warne as a manager.

Surely not, unless he’s come at a knockdown price. Our real needs is for a number 9. Unless, as other have said, Wes is out for longer than we think and KM thinks we really don’t have a respacement for him.
