Chiedozie Ogbene - Luton… on 14:33 - Aug 26 with 5698 views | Trickster | Really like him as a player, could definitely play a similar role to Wes on the right. Powerful and athletic with work rate to support the fullback, good pace and seems like a humble character. The like for like player to replace Wes is something we are missing at the moment, especially as Delap is playing upfront - feel he could fill this role albeit in a different style to Wes. Having said that, another centre forward should be a priority. Maybe Wes' injury is worse than first thought or the frequency of these semi long term injuries means we're looking to get some full time cover in for him?

Lacks end product for me. Watched him a lot at international level. Maybe the team here can change that for him but feel we’d be better strengthened with Broja.

Replacement for Burns. Feel sorry for Wes but if he's out for a while we can't wait around for him.

Ultimately he'll be a squad player in the ilk of Harness (would argue he similarly lacks end product at times, improved significantly under McKenna) but players to fill the RW role is something we're lacking. Wes has history of being out for spells with muscle injuries and Johnson isn't good enough going forward for me to fill the role, Delap is playing up top and is a different mould of right sided forward to Wes. Agree main priority is centre forward, but would be a nice to have someone more like for like to fill in.

Trouble with wes it's been a year of this injury and as the standard gets more intense so will the pressure on his hamstring there no easy fixes to that kind of injury just treatment and time, He's desperate to play meens rushing back meens reacurance

Chiedozie Ogbene - Luton… on 15:38 - Aug 26 with 4328 views | Len_Brennan | He would work well as a replacement for Wes on that side, but I'd be surprised as we are running out of squad places & definitely need to add another centre forward. Unless the injury to Wes is far worse & longer term than we thought. Perhaps Harness could be on the move then after all. I would have seen us go for their striker, Adebayo, well before I would have seen us linked with Ogbene.
Chiedozie Ogbene - Luton… on 15:49 - Aug 26 with 4121 views | Nutkins_Return | Would be a surprise but perhaps we can't get another suitable available striker so this is a cheaper option/solution which takes away requirement for Delap to fill Burns hole and and concentrate on CF. Would mean Al Hamadi would stay until at least jan I guess.

Chiedozie Ogbene - Luton… on 19:47 - Aug 26 with 2127 views | Vic | Surely not, unless he’s come at a knockdown price. Our real needs is for a number 9. Unless, as other have said, Wes is out for longer than we think and KM thinks we really don’t have a respacement for him.

Ogbene comes in, Harness goes, we still look to bring in another striker?
