Unlike riveting which is fascinating.

As early as 3000 BC, the rivet made its first appearance in Egypt as a joining element for the manufacturing of several tools and objets d'art (e.g. fixing a handle on jars). Later, it became a fastener commonly used during the Gallo- Roman era.

The increasing focus on corporate and sponsor income as seen by the completing of new corporate boxes in the West stand, prompting the club to tackle fans harmlessly standing up as they seek to prioritise the match day experience of day tripping prawn sandwich munchers over fans whose support over decades has sustained the club, long before any American investment fund had even heard of Portman Road.

AI? Accelerating energy use? The habitual, unthinking, masturbatory response to exciting new 'tech' which is putting extraordinary load onto energy supply? Ecosystem and food production collapse? Extinctions, starvation, water wars? The virtually un-dented rise in CO2 emissions in spite of everything?

Or something heavy like VAR? Or the price of flights to mainland Europe for one-off matches?

Correct. I think (but not 100% sure) it is as at some point the new boxes will be open and at that point there could be a situation where views are blocked.

Can't see any other credible reason why they would try and get people to sit down who are standing on the back row.

Frankly I find the whole International scene a pain in the backside. Three games and we are already stopping the domestic league. Utterly nonsensical. Can't these idiots that run football sort things out better than this. I wouldn't trust them to run a bath.

Denim as a fabric hails from Nimes, where the extensively grown woad plant gives the fabric its trademark colour.

Denim, de Nimes.

So, to wrap up the day's discussion I think we are all agreed that occupants of the new corporate boxes should be dressed in loose denim before the match and then riveted to the outside of the box so that they can be persistently told off by stewards for standing during the match. This must be carried out in an ethical and sustainable manner, the use of artificial intelligence notwithstanding (because the AI obeys the stewards.)
