Not worried. Just find it odd that a manager doesn't know if a player has a recall clause.

I expect he will rush back into his office with Phil, they will log into TWTD and smile lovingly at each other before one says "yep, that got him'

I did imagine he would do. I just don't get the need for hush hush. It makes 0 difference to anything.

He definitely knows. It’s just not in anyone’s interest to be chatting about the intricate details of the deal with every Tom, Dick and Harry.

At presser on 14:10 - Sep 27 by Marshalls_Mullet | It doesn't matter. KM wont be concerned. City will not be recalling him. They have all the options in the world. P.S. I'd put money on it that he 100% knows whether there is a recall clause or not. He's a detail man. [Post edited 27 Sep 2024 14:10]

Personally I don't think he's a liar, and it seems strange to think that he is, without any evidence, and without it making any sense for him to lie. There is no recall clause. If he knew that for sure, why on earth would he imply that there might be? What possible advantage is gained by (a) making himself look less knowledgable than he is, and (b) worrying people that there's some theoretical chance KP could be recalled when he can't?

People forget things under stress when they already have 1,000 things running through their heads. Might also have been gamesmanship. Even nice, good people do it :)

Maybe hes more interested in developing the players, instead of looking at their contracts under a microscope. The fact that he's not worried is a good sign. Rodri is a world class player and Man City will try and replace him with a similar player of similar standard. Phillips isn't that player in Pep's mind. Not worth worrying about.

I've already said previously I didn't think he'd be recalled so not I'm not worried about that anyway. You also don't need to look under a microscope of a contract when you're in regular contact with your ceo. As Marshall said KM most likely did know anyway. I just didn't and don't understand the reasons why you wouldn't just say no there's no recall.
